Will wasn't supposed to be eaten by a space zombie.
The goddess responsible for this extra-dimensional mishap promised him a second life in a fantasy world, complete with powers inspired by his favorite computer game, Maincraft. But there's a problem.
Will's new world has a Dark Lord, and his System doesn't come with instructions. He wants to live in peace, and maybe meet a girl, but crafting a slice of life with monsters spawning every night and an evil empire on your doorstep is tough when all you've got are blocks and sticks.
Stuck in survival mode, he’ll have to get creative.
A LitRPG isekai adventure with a splash of gore, a dash of horror, and a hint of romance—this isn't your kid's Maincraft. But hey, at least there's no profanity.

Will is not your typical protag, a reformed ex-con with zero life prospects and not a lot of survival, combat, or really any sort of applicable skills other than some real world gaming experience. You would probably be hard pressed to find a worst fit to take on the ultimate evil of this new world but he seems to be a quick learner at least. I found myself enjoying the pop culture references and I am familiar enough with the game mechanics of "Maincraft" that I could appreciate the MCs and authors creativity, I would even go so far to recommend this book to tweens who are really into Minecraft or Roblox and plan to have my kiddo and nephew read it.
The side characters are fairly well crafted and John Pirhalla, who I know from Jakes Magical Market, does a good job with the material. I have the e-book for book 2 already but I may just end up waiting on the audio. Definitely worth checking out for fans of the genre and those who have sunk countless hours into digging up virtual pixels and getting blown up by creepers.

To start this was a great story for Minecraft players besides the title of the book lol. The MC first day/night was probably like most of us who started playing the game and didn’t end well lol. The story had a great pace and you were able to follow along and not get confused with all the terminology if you weren’t a Minecraft player it is still a pleasure listen. The MC himself isn’t a total idiot or one with absurd plot armor but a normalish person give an opportunity most would have taken up. I’m getting of track here but it is an overall great book to buy or use a credit on and you will look forward to the next book just like myself!
Loved it!
