The plot twists

The story was captivating. I do wish the narrator had taken the trouble to learn the correct pronunciation of the Italian words.

Horrible Narrator

This could have been a much more taut and interesting novel but for one of the worst narrators I’ve encountered. Monotone, droning for much of the story. Very disappointing.

Same as the first book

Great start, great build up, average finish at best. I had the same feeling with the first book. Too bad, was hoping for better…..

Love Silva but not this one

Story was way to simple and the narration was brutal. Thank god he switch to George Guidal.

Art Restorer/Israeli Spy Hunts a Master Assassin

This is the 4th Daniel Silva novel of the Israeli spy Gabriel Allon that I have read or listened, and all are thrilling entertainments. This time an old friend and espionage colleague of Allon’s is murdered because he has acquired damning evidence about the Vatican’s role in the Holocaust. Allon hunts the murderer, and in the process uncovers dark secrets of the Vatican. The story is somewhat unbelievable, but very entertaining nonetheless. If you want a page-turning thriller with lots of action, this is a good choice. Arlie’s Howard is one of my favorite narrators.

Sleepy narrator

Slow but creative story. Narrator was slow and sleepy. Weak accents and Israeli main character had none. Would recommend story but not narrator.

storyline was scattered, and inconsistent. reader couldn't do voices well to distinguish between characters. Daniel silver's other books are much better..
