The Vatican and beyond.

Daniel Silva once again left me intrigued to the very end. He also veers away from the Middle East and focuses his tale mostly in the Italian region.

What a reunion!

Loved the story, but especially the skill used in bringing in all the former characters. This was a beautifully written story.

Beautiful and Entertaining Plot

These are great novels with outstanding plots, characters and narration! Gabriel Allen is the greatest protagonist of all time!

A bridge too far even for Eduardo Ballerini

It’s okay. Simply not the level of intrigue of the earlier work. It’s a little self-indulgent. Like a lot of prolific novelists, we start to see a lot of projecting instead of reflecting society of the time. I hope he doesn’t get as bad as James Lee Burke.

Look forward every year to the story continuing. Would love this to be made into a series!

Plot twists keep the reader hooked!

Fantastic story combining the best of mystery and spy book genera’s. The twists make the book hard to stop listening to. The narration is quite good adding vivid imagery for the listener.

I've real all the Gabriel Allon books and having enjoyed each and every one. This one does not disappoint. Good characters, intrigue and excellent narration.

Great art caper

I felt the the last few novels had become somewhat formulaic, so this latest book was a welcome addition to the Allon canon. Gabriel is an engaging character who doesn’t always need to save the world to be interesting. Loved the cameo returns of other beloved characters as well.
