It will cause him to question the morality of the tactics of his trade. And it might very well cost him his life.

First Daniel Silva Novel

Overall it was good. It didn't blow my mind - But it held my interest.

I am greatful for all the reviews I read before buying this book. I will probably get another novel by Mr. Silva. I enjoyed his writing style very much.

Excellent story fit to our present time

Enjoyed it from beginning to end. Daniel Silva researched the details of the story in a most professional manner to achieve credibility and representation of our time.

Another good one

I’m a big fan of the author and this series. The book reads like something we see far too often in the news. There are some reviews that paint it as hard to believe but it is actually quite easy to believe. In fact, one wonders if it is based upon an event that might have been attempted. We need to never forget that there is a large group of people whose stated goal is to destroy Israel, the United States and everyone who does not believe as they believe. Ever vigilant.

Great Narrator

I am a great fan of George G but this narrator did an excellent job too. The story and cast of characters keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Excellent spy novel!

As I await the new release from Ben Coes in three days, I'm listening again to some older espionage novels from some of the best authors of the genre. The Secret Servant is the 7th novel in the Gabriel Allon series by Daniel Silva. It is an excellent novel, but it is not one of Silva's best. Allon is working of the kidnapping in London of the adult daughter of the US ambassador to the UK. In doing so he works with both US and British intelligence agencies.

Silva's first Gabriel Allon audio novel was narrated by George Guidall. Novels 2 -10 in the series including this one were narrated by lesser narrators until Simon Vance narrated #11. All novels since #11 have been narrated by Guidall.

Novel #17 in the Allon series titled House of Spies will be released on July 11, 2017. It will be narrated by Guidall.

WAKE UP! Mr. Silva's Writing Just Gets Better!

I am a fan of the Alon series and have been reading the in order. I see a significant improvement in the author's craft in this book--though none have left me incredulous or wanting.
This fictional series echoes the pervasive evil that is radical Islam that is warned of -- fictionally and in non-fiction -- by Joel Rosenberg in a series entitled "The Twelfth Iman".
