Editorial reviews

William Alan Ritch adapts Brad Linaweaver's original story "The Competitor" into a full-cast, soundscaped audio dramatization. Forced by his family to undergo surgery to have a conscience implanted in his head, Jack goes through a personality change and becomes an upstanding member of society. However, a rival implant designed to be his anti-conscience soon appears to set off the ultimate personality conflict. Linaweaver voices both implants, ably creating a distinction between the two through his playful use of idiosyncratic mannerisms and tone.
