Not quite an arranged marriage but pretty close. I enjoyed watching this couple progress and understand the meaning of having a true mate.

Melody is 19 years old and the daughter of a commander. She's having a few heated words with her dad. Meanwhile just outside the door Liam, has come to meet his new commander and hears the argument going on. When Melody storms out she bumps into Liam who realizes that she is his mate. When he speaks to his new commander, who has seen the exchange between them, he makes Liam promise not to tell Melody for at least three months. In that time they are to become acquainted. But Melody is a headstrong young female who rails against Liam and when she learns what he is to her that railing intensifies.But Ramelian warriors use stern punishments. It's a battle of wills.
The narrator, Jack Calihan, brings the characters to life especially Liam. He grabs your attention and keeps you enthralled as you listen and come to learn each story person.

Very posessive and hot!

Loved this story. Wish it was longer. Very hot with posessive male. Jack did another outstanding job with narrating. He does great going back and fourth between the male and female characters.

Short and Sexy!

I received this audiobook free at my request and am leaving this review voluntarily.

The Commander's Daughter feels closer to a short story than a full fledged book, but it hits the ground running. I enjoyed the interactions between the characters. The dialogue felt a bit sufferable at times, but Jack Calihan's narration made up for any weakness there. The story itself isn't wholly original, but the execution is good. Overall an enjoyable audiobook.
