Wonderful, low-angst bodyguard romance.

The power exchange dynamic in the story is a lot of fun to read, especially considering Stuart and Jordan’s differences in age, personality, and worldly experience. When there is a bodyguard, of course, I fully expect friction and for their charge to resent the bodyguard’s presence and the implied lack of independence for the charge. Prince Jordan certainly didn’t disappoint in that regard. He’s made an art out of sneaking away and can definitely play the long game. Stuart was forewarned but still fell for it. There be consequences for being naughty like that, and Stuart is just the man to teach Jordan about those. Our young prince has a bit of growing up to do and could stand to be more responsible, but then he has been incredibly sheltered and is desperate to experience life for himself. Jordan grows a lot throughout the story and charmed me pretty effortlessly while doing so. I also really loved him for Stuart, who is actually far more gentle and vulnerable than I had expected. He got his heart broken in the past and is leery of opening himself up again to another person, so seeing him fall for Jordan and be loved by him was sweet and uplifting.
The story is well-written, the writing smooth and fluent. I had hoped for a bit more world-building with regards to the fictitious kingdom of Elloria, which seems both a bit backward and quite progressive at the same time, but I loved what there was. Elloria sounds picturesque and enchanting. Just the break from reality that I needed.

Narration: John Solo is a wonderful narrator and I really enjoyed his performance of this story, I liked the voices he did for Stuart and Jordan, especially the slight accent he gave Jordan.

4.25 overall

While his voice did grow on me, I had a very different idea of how these characters would sound when I first read the book.

I f’love bodyguard books! This is one of my favorites! A young royal virgin, a HOT older Alpha bodyguard, first time trip to America, spankings, sex toys, bondage, and little to no angst! Ms Wells does it again!

Pleasantly Surprised!

My first book by KC, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I will say though that some of the performance by John was a bit over the top. Specifically when the prince would get overly shaken at the beginning of his sexual experience. It kinda was a turn off when it should have been a turn on moment. Enjoy.

Loved it

My first audible book and I loved it! The story was really good, sweet and very sexy and the narrator made it come alive!!

Predictable story but HOT!

I could tell the outcome from the first but sex scenes were incredibly hot. I almost needed a cold shower after one in particular. The author knows ALL the buttons to push.

Wonderful!!!

The opposite of every MM book I've listened to and I loved it! Deliciously steamy with some light BDSM. The Narrator was perfect & the story line ..... absolutely beautiful! There is very little angst (you almost miss it due to the steam factor) I will definitely listen to this one again!

Desperate for experience

I rather enjoyed this story of a virgin over-protected prince desperate to have a sexual experience with a man before his royal status forced him into a marriage with a woman. The ending was predictable but still fun to read. All the characters in the story evolved the way I wish our own culture and country would evolve. John Solo had a wonderful deep gruff voice for Stuart, the body guard, but the voice Solo used for the prince was whiny and grating and way too childish, in my opinion,

Princely Submission

When Stuart takes what he thinks will be an easy security job he never imagined how much his life would change because of it. Prince Jordan gives Stuart a lot of problems, but Stuart sees the true reasoning behind it all and Stuart is not afraid to show Jordan just who is boss. Will this job become something more to Stuart and Jordan?

Jordan and Stuart’s story is a sweet one. The sexual tension is strong right from the start. I enjoyed the way the relationship grew and deepened between the two. As time goes on and with some help from Stuart it was nice to see Jordan begin to find his way. The two are good together and the care that they feel for each other shines through it all. Narrator John Solo does a nice job of bringing out the emotions of these characters and I was immersed into the story all the way to the end.

Ok, the buildup was fine. The action was hhhooooooooot!!!! OMG, I was listening with headphones in the family room. Got flushed and had to put it down 😅😅

Loved this book

I loved this book from KC Wells when I read it and loved listening to it just as much

My only issue is that the narrator kept turning into Alan Titmarsh, at random moments, and whilst I know Alan writes smutty books and has a house on the same island as KC I don’t think he has a sideline in narrating mm books!!

Loved it though and totally recommend for your listening pleasure xx

Steamy Hot with an Excellent Message

Rugged, handsome, and permanently soured on love, Stuart Whitmore has no idea what he’s getting himself into when he agrees to a temporary gig as bodyguard to a bratty prince twenty years his junior. Turns out Prince Jordan has a whole lotta heart hiding beneath that pampered exterior. He’s bold enough to test Stuart’s boundaries at every turn, and repeatedly displays the chutzpah that catches (and holds) his handsome new protector's attention.

A classic age gap romance, which K.C. Wells does so perfectly, Princely Submission contains all the elements I adore about her writing. The older, more experienced, dommy guy who shows the inexperienced younger lad the ropes. (And in this case, yes, ropes are definitely involved!) The BDSM scenes are on the lighter side, and work well with the dynamic between the two men. Stuart and Jordan have fantastic chemistry, both in and out of bed.

The audio version of Princely Submission is beautifully performed by John Solo. I knew Mr. Solo would rock the husky, burly tones of Stuart, but he blew me away with his sassy rendition of Jordan. He captures every bit of K.C. Wells’ humor, and nobody can read her physical romance scenes better!

brilliant narration of the book

loved the book but listening to the audio was so funny.
Prince Jordan was always trying to get one over Stuart. Listening to the way Prince Jordan reacted to Stuart's Dom voice, and their relationship building over the trip to America was brilliant

Seriously though, John Solo did an exceptional job of narrating a well-written book.

The two MC Prince Jordon and Stuart, his soon to be bodyguard, are strong and well-defined characters. The story is set in two countries, but the main part is in America. I like the simple references that make you remember that Prince Jordon has been brought up in a different country and has been sheltered from life, including the internet.

Having the main character, who is a virgin and hasn't even been kissed, is lovely but frustrating at the same time. You want to take him and lead him to the nearest club, but I love how this author writes and still keeps him almost begging.

Well worth the read/listen. It is a good read. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and the excellent narration from John Solo helped. Although, like usual, I sped up the audio, and I listened at 1.25 speed on audible.

I loved this when I read it and even more now.

There’s not a lot that I can add to my original review of this book (below) except that John Solo did a fantastic job with his performance (no surprise there!). His interpretation of the story added to my enjoyment. When I listened to this, I really didn’t intend to focus on the story so intently. After all I had read it pretty recently, but I ended up so involved that I really didn’t do anything else except listen to it straight through. This is somewhat unusual for me because I normally accomplish other tasks around the house while I listen to audiobooks.

Princely Submission was such a good read and isn’t that cover hot! I love bodyguard stories; add in the royalty factor and forced proximity and I was over-the-moon for this book.

It’s not a complicated or angsty story, it was just a great, easy to read one about a bratty prince with submissive tendencies, and an older bodyguard “sir” who’s happy to teach him how to behave.

Prince Jordan has led a very sheltered life so when he gets the chance to leave his country and go to the US with his parents, he wants to spread his wings and experience many “firsts.” Jordan tries to give his bodyguard the slip every chance he gets but Stuart is determined to keep him in line and threatens to spank him if he misbehaves.

The more time they spend together the more difficulty Stuart has resisting Jordan’s blatant flirting. Once Jordan finds out that Stuart is gay all bets are off and he amps up the flirting. During the month-long trip the two become closer and Jordan begins to settle down and act in a more mature manner.

If it weren’t for the smoking hot scenes, I would describe this book as a very sweet story. Well, it really is a sweet story with a sexy side of heat. Jordan’s parents are super accepting of his sexuality and want to make things in their country better for LGBTQI citizens; I found this very refreshing.

The epilogue, set two years after the end of the main story, was like the perfect topping on an ice cream sundae. I love it when an author gives readers a glimpse of their character’s lives in the future like this one does.
