Julian Leblanc's story is a sizzling fake relationship romance set in the heart of New Orleans.

She’s too damn hot, but also rude and unprofessional... yet that doesn’t stop me from becoming her fake boyfriend. I pride myself on never doubting my decisions. It’s why my business runs so smoothly. But when a disgruntled supplier tracks me down, and I discover that she lost business because of me, I’m determined to make things right.

First step—I invite Georgie to a Mardi Gras party, to wave the proverbial white flag. Only her asshole of an ex shows up, insulting her. All my protective instincts kick in and I kiss her on the spot. That shuts him up. The only problem is, once I have a taste, I crave more.

So I proposition to be her fake boyfriend. My excuse? I’ll help her get her clients back by taking her to elite parties around New Orleans. But this fake dating becomes addictive. Suddenly a kiss is not enough; a touch is only the beginning and Georgie is captivating me in a way no one ever did.

Then one evening at midnight, all masks come off. And so do our reasons for pretending.

I desperately want her, but I’m not the settle-down-type-of-guy, and Georgie deserves that. With her, I’ve become the man I never thought I ever could be. Our passion is real. But can we have more?

What a great love story from one of my favourite authors.

what started as a fake relationship quickly blossomed into a real one. I couldn't stop swooning.

Awesome narrators

I’m a fan of this author and the way she tells her stories. The romance of each couple is engaging. Strong and loving.
One in each of her books I’m not a fan of . Or most of her books. The main couple always has a complication over and misunderstanding. Which is good in romances. But some of her books is a silly misunderstanding. Like you see the solution so clearly and they interpreted it in a completely off way. Happens once in nearly each book. So not a big deal to bug and does not over take the story.

Other than that silly little comment. I love the series and narration seems to keep up on par in each of her books. This is the second series I’ve listened to, and good good good.

Nearly perfect but still awesome

If you love fake relationships and invested family stories look no further than the latest Leblanc brothers story in The Charmer ( The Leblanc Brothers #2). This is Julian Lablanc and Georgie’s entertaining and heartwarming journey and I highly recommend it to all romance lovers.
Julian owns The Lucky Spot bar in New Orleans and he meets Bookshelf and Beads shop owner, Georgie when she confronts him about cancelling the float decoration contract she has had since her grandmother opened their small shop years ago. Julian has no intention of getting involved with the sassy shop owner until her ex boyfriend turns up and is not very nice, so Julian comes to her rescue with a kiss and telling the ex to take a hike because Georgie is now his ……
Trying to make up for cancelling the contract Julian takes Georgie to exclusive Mardi Gras events in the hope she gets back the contracts that had been lost due to the flooding. But what happens when spending time together has feelings coming into play and the family meddling in Julian’s love life.
Emma Wilder and Jason Clarke did a fantastic job bringing the characters and their story to life. They were easy to listen to and they were spot on with the love and the banter that flows through this book.
This book is one of my favourite reads of 2024 and I’m telling you all to add The Charmer to your TBR list. The characters are adorable, the story is entertaining and more important you feel like you are sitting in the French Quarter experiencing Mardi Gras.

One of my favourite books of the year
