Publisher's Summary

New York Times bestselling authors Dr. Daniel Amen and Tana Amen are ready to lead you to victory...The Brain Warrior’s Way is your arsenal to win the fight to live a better life. The Amens will guide you through the process, and give you the tools to take control. So if you’re serious about your health, either out of desire or necessity, it’s time to arm yourself and head into battle.

When you're trying to live a healthy lifestyle, every day can feel like a battle. Forces are destroying our bodies and our minds. The standard American diet we consume is making us sick; we are constantly bombarded by a fear-mongering news media; and we're hypnotized by technical gadgets that keep us from our loved ones. Even our own genes can seem like they're out to get us. But you can win the war. You can live your life to the fullest, be your best, and feel your greatest, and the key to victory rests between your ears.

Your brain runs your life. When it works right, your body works right, and your decisions tend to be thoughtful and goal directed. Bad choices, however, can lead to a myriad of problems in your body. Studies have shown that your habits turn on or off certain genes that make illness and early death more or less likely. But you can master your brain and body for the rest of your life with a scientifically-designed program: the Brain Warrior’s Way.

Master your brain and body for the rest of your life. This is not a program to lose 10 pounds, even though you will do that - and lose much more if needed. You can also prevent Alzheimer’s, reverse aging, and improve your:

  • Overall health
  • Focus
  • Memory
  • Energy
  • Work
  • Mood stability
  • Flexibility
  • Inner peace
  • Relationships

The Amens have helped tens of thousands of clients over 30 years, and now they can help you. It is time to live a better life - right now!

Better books written on the same subject

Too much selling for a method that is free and available through many other means. The constant reiteration of how great this method is as a selling point placed a foul taste in my mouth immediately after starting. A book I'd recommend in this place is Mastery of LIfe by the great Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Great info, too much pitching.

I've been using this plan for 4 weeks, it's not easy. But it works and my blood pressure numbers have never been lower.

There is too much selling. It lacks real content.

I was 4 chapters into it and still no content. it reminds me of those click bait bloggers for "snake oil" advertisers

Step aside Dr Amen with the narrating

this book is very informational but Dr Amen needs to step aside when it comes to the narration. I couldn't get through the entire book because of the doctors monotone descriptions. I'm usually not harsh with reviews but if you're going to listen to this book you need to take in consideration the narrator.

Big Disappointment

What disappointed you about The Brain Warrior's Way?

This is by far the worst self improvement book I have ever read/heard. I was looking forward to actually learn how I can make positive changes. After the first 3 minutes I kept forwarding to the next chapter, and the next. Halfway through the book the author and his wife were still discussing the benefits of the 'Brain Warriors Way' and how it helped them.I found this book a complete waste of time. They never got to the point were they gave instructions to follow.

Brilliantly written

Complex subject made easy to understand. Step by step solutions offered but require dedication to complete.

Narration monotonous

I probably could have gotten through the entire book but could not due to the monotone of the narrator. That is why I gave it only two stars. Dr. Amen has great information to present. I have seen him in interviews and he is good. Narrating is not his forte. It was so monotone I could not listen much less focus and learn. I fell asleep. Tana Amen was better. Get another narrator and I will finish the book.

An absolute masterpiece!

As a avid audiobook listener it is rare for me to write a review however in this instance I would be doing the world an injustice. This book is the compilation of years of clinical experience and is an absolute credit to both Tana & Dr Amen. The book was so good I listened to it a second time immediately after finishing it the first time. If your brain means anything to you, you need this book!

Get "How Not To Die" by Dr Michael Greger instead

This book was a great place to start, but Dr Amen hasn't followed the science and has his finger in the pot selling all sorts of "self help" books like this and his own line of supplements and foods. Dr Greger on the other hand has managed to stay away from these kinds of money making schemes, and corporate sponsorship...and he has followed the science like a hound.
