Publisher's Summary

Ever since Adrianna's heart was broken, she's contented herself with throwing all of her energy into building a career in hotel management, while spending free time reading from her vast library or going out with her girlfriends. But something is missing, and when her best friend suggests sex as the answer, it strikes a chord. But never did she intend to fulfill her desire with her boss, John Merritt. What starts as a fling boils over into something much hotter, and when emotions become a problem, Adrianna's not sure she wants to take things to the next level. Now in an uncertain relationship with her boss, Adrianna fears at the future she never had in mind for herself. Her friends see the positive change, and so does her mother, but Adrianna isn't sure she's ready to settle down and trust a man again, despite how excited John is to start a life with her. But his loyalty is tested when a work crisis causes him to turn on her and Adrianna wonders if there is there any hope of a reconciliation, or is she going to spend her life as alone as she'd once convinced herself she should?

Narrator Needs Work

The story is well written, but it's hard to get into the book because the narrator is a little flat and the voice just doesn't fit well with the characters. I wish I would have just read the e book instead so I wouldn't have been disappointed.

Very Upset With This One

Would you try another book from Cristina Grenier and/or Ravyn Knight?

No, not at all.

Has The Boss's Baby turned you off from other books in this genre?

If this would have been the first audio book I heard, it would have completely turned me off. Luckily, it wasn't and I quite enjoyed the first book I purchased and plan to purchase another book in the future.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Ravyn Knight?

Lauren Fortgang

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment because I settled in to listen to a good story and it didn't meet my expectations at all.

Any additional comments?

The narrator definitely stumbled and messed up the story -- in part, but you can also tell that it just wasn't a well written story. Maybe if the story was better quality, there would have been a better performance.

okay

I really struggled to finish listening to this book. there was no good story line, with the exception of one. all the characters sound the same. Very poor narrator did not or could not bring life to the book. If could would have been an alright book to listen to.

different narrator required!!!!!!

The story of a black woman from New York should not be presented from the voice of what appears to be a white southern girl. There are pronunciations a black woman from the North that would be considered "country". It draws attention from the story.

Unrealistic

Just an unrealistic story in my opinion. Way too goody-goody and boring. The narration was bad too. It’s a pet peeve hearing the “h” in who, what, where and why etc. and no way is that a NY accent! 🤦🏽‍♀️

Wrong narrator for the main character

Her voice did not match any of the characters. Her voice made the story unbelievable .

Boring Anticlimactic Basic

This was a very disappointing listen. The story plot was very anti-climatic and to top it off the narration was monotone, flat, and boring.

Okay Story.

It's an okay story but I have to admit that I was entertained by the narrator. I fell out every time she read parts about keeping her braids moisturized because you could hear the question marks in the narrators voice every time like "what am I reading again?" If you have the romance package then I'd recommend putting it on your list otherwise skip.

When in peace prepare for war

The story is about 2 ambitious people in the corporate business of hotel management. They've worked well together for years, climbing through the ranks of success, then suddenly they became interested in one another. I should say the fell in lust, with a few undercover stipulations, on the hush hush, and Murphy's Law is just at the bend in the road of life.

The reason why I gave 4 stars, is because the story didn't feel like a stand alone, it was more like a beginning of a serial. I reccomend the work of this author and the narrator. This was the my 1st time being entertained by this author and the narrator, they did a good job. The narrator bought life to each character, both are worth following.

Real Talk

This story is so real when you are so scared to show the person you love them and you have to be careful who you fall in love with.
