Incredible read for self and community!

I’ve learnt so much about myself, trauma processing and building empathy for those around me. This book is comprehensive and practical even to a layman. It is a mirror to the reader and best read with an open mind, honest self reflection and hopefully will inspire A desire to heal oneself.

Recommend this 100%

Life changer

The book covers trauma from various angles. Coming from a science background it was eye opening to see the physical effects of trauma on the body.
After finishing this book, many things fell into place in my life.. my past and present.
I enjoyed every hour of it.
To the author: I can not thank you enough. My life will not be the same after finding my scores.

Very informative in terms of understanding the impact of trauma- and the resulting behavioral changes in individuals who suffered various types of trauma, at various ages or phases in their lives.

Eye opening

Narrated perfectly, this book opens up your mind to the vast array of mental health, trauma & long term implications of a rough start to life or reaction to trauma as life goes on. A tough listen at times that requires compassion and understanding. I highly recommend The Body Keeps The Score.

Excellent description of psychology of resume and ptsd in context

Aside from the well-researched and fascinating information about psychological and physiological effects of trauma + successful therapies, the book also addresses some of the historical and “political” context of the struggle to see and recognize and properly diagnose/treat patients. Really well-done.
