Publisher's summary

Two damaged hearts learn there’s a fine line between love and hate in a Wicked Wallflowers novel from USA Today best-selling author Christi Caldwell.

Gertrude, the eldest Killoran sister, has spent a lifetime being underestimated - especially by her own family. She may seem as vulnerable as a kitten, but given the chance, she can be as fierce as a tiger. Her adopted brother, Stephen, has just been snatched back by his true father, and she’ll be damned if she relinquishes the boy to the man reviled throughout London as the Mad Marquess.

Still haunted by a deadly tragedy that left him publicly despised, Lord Edwin holds only hatred for the Killorans - the people he believes kidnapped his son. And not one of them will ever see the boy again. But when Gertrude forces her way into the household and stubbornly insists that she remain as Stephen’s governess, Edwin believes he may have found someone madder than himself.

With every moment he shares with the tenderhearted Gertrude, Edwin’s anger softens into admiration…and more. Is it possible that the woman he loathed may be the only person who can heal his broken soul?

My favorite of all the wallflowers

A heartbroken, brooding, angry Marquis and a loving kind, gentle Kilorian… a perfect combination for love and healing. Five star story and five star narration Tim Campbell does such a wonderful job narrating all these stories.!

Beautiful story

Miss Caldwell has done it again. She has written a beautiful story full of emotions, deep characters that aren’t perfect, great storyline with a bit of adventure and some fun cats. Tim Campbell, what can I say, he always brings the audiobook to life with that fantastic vocal performance.

I love this couple’s story. The narrator did an awesome job. I hope Stephen gets a book someday.

I loved this book

Christie is definitely a talented spinner of tales and this book is testament to that. The characters in this book are rich and complex, even Stephen. I do love a happy ending and this book doesn't disappoint. This book is a repeat listen for me and I highly recommend to anyone who loves a good romance with a little zing.

My favorite of them all

Everything about this one is perfection. Deeply emotional...TC does an incredible job conveying emotion through Edwin's voice. Touching story...my favorite of all Christi Caldwell stories so far.

The sweetest book of the series!

I think the duration of the friendship between Gertrude and Edwin could have been made longer before they became attracted to each other. Two weeks was a little short for them to fall in love and look pass each other’s past. The story would have been more believable then. Apart from that, the book was fantastic! Gertrude was the definitely the right Killoran sister for Edwin. Tim Campbell killed the narration of the story as usual.

The story of three becoming one family.

I loved that the story was about all three characters equally. I enjoyed it immensely.
