I think the editor fell asleep

Up to chapter 13 the story was just interesting enough that my lazy self didn't feel like searching for another book to listen to , but between the narration and the amateurish dialogue between the two main characters in chapter 13, I gave up.

The lady narrator tries to make the characters sound interesting but it's distracting and at times hard to listen to, especially when she does male voices. There are also several paragraphs throughout the story that repeat themselves but with different wording (something the editor should have caught). It feels like the author wrote the paragraph one way and then thought of a different way to say the same thing but forgot to take out the paragraph that was being replaced.

It's not a horrible book and if I had been reading it rather than listening to it, I probably would have made it to the end

Fun read! Relaxing voices.

Enjoyed this as a nice palate cleanser between romantasy books. The narrators both have clean/relaxing voices.

Smart heroine

Not the usual silly waffling from the female protagonist, which was nice. Some repetitive themes, but worth the listen.

A great book to listen to when recovering from a heartbreak. Both main characters were well developed & likable. The narrator was also good.

unexpectedly entertaining

In the first couple chapters I was not sure i would enjoy this book. I do not read/listen to many books of this style, but I truly enjoyed the book. I loved seeing Augusta come into her own strength and their relationship building. Great story, well written and well done narrators!

It was an enjoyable story, with wonderful characters. I liked the humor shared between characters and the story line of doing the right thing.

I loved the characters well written and thank God no winey women. Just true life insecurities. Narrators were awesome and I can’t wait to listen the the next book in the series.
