Not going to say that I wasted my time with this story but I did mentally check out during several sections. I did like start of the story. It kept me engaged and invested. Towards the middle when i started saying this is getting disappointing. The story dragged and the section with Janet killed my interest for Sam. This is not my type story at the moment Janet was introduced.

Good story

Good story overall. the characters were believable and I felt their insecurities. ending felt a little rushed but I still felt the HEA.

Fabulous start to a series

No one does age gap romance like Melissa Tereze! This is a perfect example of her mastery. Sam Phillips, a 37 year old successful architect, is perfectly content to just work. Then one day she’s given a business card for an escort service. At first she is adamantly against it, then curious, then she sees Alexis’ profile and books a meeting. Alexis, 25 and gorgeous, likes Sam immediately. Sam has doubts and reservations.
The angst is high in this one and so is the heat! This is one of the best series starters there is. This is Melissa at her best and Cat Gould does a wonderful job narrating this gem.

Almost Star crossed.

The story over all was okay, the classic loss and moving on. There was romance but not as much as I had hoped for.

Age is just a number.

The book was very good. Between everything that went on it was emotional, funny and romantic. Worth the read.

Great character development

This story will address many issues. Is a 13 year age gap between partners really an impediment to a great partnership? Why do so many lesbian women doubt their own self-worth? True love does not come without problems - it requires time, and women who wish to stop comparing a past love with a present one, seeing the value both had to play in one’s life.-

Narrator could have used different voice for Sam.

The voice for Sam was to thick like if it was forced. I could not enjoy the romantic part of the story. Also the narrator had this swing at the end of the conversation of both characters.

loved it!

Another great book by Melissa Tereze. The chemistry between Sam and Lusiana is hot to say the least. Cat Gould's narration is a real treat with her beautiful accent. I couldn't quit listening and now that I have finished it I am disappointed it is over. On to my next Melissa Tereze book.

SENSUAL, SPICY AND FULL OF HESITATION

This book follows two women one 25 and one who is 38. It touches a lot on these two completely different women who find each other by complete coincidence. The book talks a lot about the age gap and, their own personal inner insecurities about it and they worry a lot about how the world perceives them so there’s a lot of apprehension in the characters. It’s a good listen, it has a decent amount of sensual scenes. I just wish it had a different ending.

Mixed Feelings about this one...

I've heard an audiobook before where someone frequents an escort and they magically fall in love. This story had me questioning some things at times and there was violence... I didn't like parts, but the down parts make the good parts better if that makes sense. I usually avoid romance novels with drama but this worked out in the end. The narrator was good, but not one of my favorites. overall, it was a good listen, but not the best.
