Publisher's summary

The universe is definitely trying to punish Jennifer Andrews. Her new colleague, Ellaine Baxter, is not only an annoying, ambitious hard-ass, she's the woman who broke Jennifer's best friend's heart. Now, for added torture, they have to drive to a teambuilding conference together.

On their three-hour journey, things go from tense to catastrophic after an unscheduled stop in New Zealand's wildly beautiful Kaimanawa Forest. Getting lost is just the start of the nightmare.

For 44 exhausting hours, the warring pair must find a way to work together. They might even survive...if they don't kill each other first.

An enemies-to-lovers romance about finding love with the person you least expect.

Contains mature themes.

Wished 44 Hours was longer.

I wished 44 hours had been longer because I enjoyed it and hated for it to end. Donna Jay has become one of my favorite authors this year. I hope all of her books are released in audio! I loved her writing so much that I picked up and am reading her books in print.

Yep, worth the listen...

I liked it; good story, well developed characters, relatable issues... I enjoyed it. The narrator was good. I'd be happy to read something from this author again and listen to something from this narrator again.

Is It Hot In Here Or Is It Just This Audiobook?

Having read the e-book I was very excited to listen to this audiobook and I was not disappointed!
This story has a lot to offer the listener. Honesty, trust, love and lust are all explored. Friend, family and workplace dynamics make the story interesting and well rounded.
The narration is very good with the characters very easy to differentiate and the emotions and situations well acted.
I hope more of Donna Jay's books are made into audiobooks. I will definitely be listening to this audiobook again.

Right up there

Seriously this is one of my top 10 fav book. It was so awesome and had everything in it. Loved the narrator and was so enamored but the the 2 women. And it had everything: love, betrayal, humor, friendship, loyalty, lies, deceit, honesty and soulmate. Seriously, if it had another 8 hrs of it, it’d be right up there with Jericho!!

44 hours can change life forever. Will they let it

I was not expecting this totally wonderful story I wish I had read sooner. Two women who spend most of their work day shooting dagers at each other much spend 44 hours together in a teambuilding workshop. What hat happened was so much better than a seminar. Forced to trust each other Jennifer has hated Elaine for what she did to her bet friend. As they share these 44 hours together the real story comes out and Lexi may not be very truthful. Getting to know each other and surviving this ordeal let's other things out. Jennifer finds courage to be herself and the steps they take embraces a life they both have yearned for too long. The characters are funny, so loving and their dialogue is just so wonderful. Their connection is a lusty hot kind of fun that leaps off the page with the force of Emma Wilder providing delicious voice to these amazing characters. It is a delightful listen that will be such a fun romp. I loved the tender relationships full of life. Donna Jay just never disappoints and I wish I read it sooner.

Sweet, Funny, & Sexy

This is an enemies-to-lovers romance with an intriguing episode of being lost in the woods for 44 Hours that begins the thaw between the main characters. The story felt realistic and genuine, even when the characters were lost in the woods, having to work together to survive. While this isn’t a slow burn by any means, Donna Jay took time to develop and build the main characters’ connection so that their friendship was as fun as their bedroom was steamy. This was the first time I’d heard Emma Wilder narrate. She did a great job capturing the comedic timing of the author’s dry wit and I caught myself snorting out loud in public at moments of unexpected humor. The secondary characters will find a place in your heart as well, as they struggle and grow throughout the story. This sweet, sexy, fun story will be a re-listen for me. I hope more of Donna Jay’s books will be made into audiobooks.

meh

I couldn't finish. Felt like it was written for high schoolers. This started ok, but got progressively bad. Who at 28 is so afraid of their mama, afraid of what people think of them? The Narrator was so-so.
