Mind Blown

I have struggled since July 6th 2011 with a panic disorder. I've tried meds, therapy (which only spoke of trauma, that didn't exist), reading, avoiding, isolation, my list of efforts go on and on. This book answered all my questions I've been asking everyone. It did so in a way that I understood and feel like recovery is not only possible but happening from this day forward for me! I cannot express the amount of gratitude I have for you taking the time and explaining a panic disorder or any anxiety disorders the way that you did in this book. Thank you so much.

a must read

I am a long time anxiety sufferer -- 25 plus years. Drew's approach and no nonsense way of looking at things is radical acceptance at its finest. I highly recommend for anyone trying to get out of this horrible loop and begin living again ♡

must read for agoraphobia

Absolute must read of you are suffering from panic disorder or agoraphobia. This book is honest about what you will need to do to make a full recovery. It restored so much hope in myself and recovery process.

This resource is a must read for panic disorder.

The matter of fact instruction on how to overcome panic disorder was exactly what I needed to learn. This book and the author do an excellent job at explaining each step and all the whys of the process.

Lifetime of Anxiety

This is such an easy plan I do daily to live with my anxiety. At one time I felt anxiety was debilitating and ruining my life. Now, I live happily as I’ve learned to organize my day and when feeling anxious I practice my new skills. I’ve noticed a difference in myself becoming confident again and not catastrophizing as I used to do. I feel like I dropped a menacing load of bricks off of my back.

Specifically directed towards panic and agoraphobia

This book gives you the textbook guide for overcoming panic disorder, agoraphobia, or any other specific phobias. As someone who struggles with generalized anxiety, and a fear about losing loved ones in the future, I’m not real sure what “exposures” could be done about that. With that being said, some of the concepts in this book do apply for all anxiety disorders. The idea that it’s never about how you feel and always about how you react to how you feel is the main concept that applies to a wide range of anxiety disorders. While I don’t know that I’d say this book gives me a totally clear path forward I still found it to be helpful.

Recommended!

I’ve been dealing with anxiety for years and this book puts a lot of things into perspective! I’ve worked with lots of therapists over the years and this book has a great way of explaining anxiety and convincing you that your fears are not unique to you. I already put a few things into practice and so far feeling better and for once feeling very hopeful!
