Publisher's Summary

I first met the ridiculously handsome Danny Diamond at a party some 15 years ago. He had brilliant blue eyes, a sexy smirk, and a muscular body. We had a crazy, instant connection. So, I did what I had to do - threw myself in his direction and kissed him. And that kiss...was like a freaking fairy tale. At least it was until he stopped it because he was married.

In my tipsy state, I replied with something cheesy like, “Don’t promise me forever, just promise me tonight.” And after a kiss like that, who could blame me? Clearly, I wasn’t thinking straight because I would never sleep with a married man. But in that moment, I kind of wanted to. I thought maybe we could be friends instead, but he couldn’t. He was a hotshot rookie quarterback with a wife and a new baby. He was living his dream.

Right now, my life is not perfect. Sure, I’m an award-winning actress, and everyone thinks I’ve got this glamorous celebrity life - that is, until my longtime boyfriend is caught on video in an Amsterdam brothel and our love becomes tabloid fodder. And that brings me to where I am now - hiding out from the paparazzi and staring at a shirtless, sweaty Danny, who is drinking milk from a carton at his neighbor’s house.

I want to impulsively kiss him again because he looks even better than I remember, but I don’t. Because I don’t know that his marriage is over. Or that he feels the same way about me. Or that we might actually have a shot at that forever kind of love.

Cute, but I didn’t like the male narrator

The male narrator is awful, but liked the female. The ending is unexpected but fun.

Bring Back Lisa Cordileone!!!

I binged all three of the first books- this book was released a couple of days ago! I want to listen to the story SO badly- but I can’t get past the TERRIBLE Male Narrator!!! It’s worse than a bad car commercial. Lisa set the tone for all of the characters, what they look and sound like in my mind- this book destroys that entirely! I will have to sadly exchange this book for something else & will happily listen to it, if there are new Narrators in the future. I get there are different people being the main characters of this story.. buttt this is doing the series no justice. 😕

Love this series

I have loved Danny Diamond from the That Boy series and always thought he deserved better than his wife Lori. Jennifer and Danny are the perfect match and I have enjoyed this book and their reconnection. Can not wait to read the conclusion to their love story. The narration was great on this book as well.

Good book, but ugh that voice!

Darn, how is wish Lisa Cordileone could do all of these books...I love her as Jaydn & the was she talks as Danny. I liked the continuation of the Danny Diamond story & while Jennifer's voice is soft Danny's is like nails on a chalk board. He's too abrupt & not how Danny talks at all. Danny was a smooth talker not a screecher...I cringe every time he pops is on!

What a great addition to the That Boy series!

What a great addition to the That Boy series! I loved catching up with Jayden and Phillip and Danny and I was honestly so glad to see Danny was reconnecting with Jennifer- I did not like Lori at all. I remember reading that the author had so much material for this story, she ended up splitting it in two parts because there was so much to tell. I am so glad because That Love was fantastic and as soon as I finished, I immediately downloaded the next book- That Ring. I enjoyed both narrators- I typically listen at 1.3X and at this speed they were conversational and their voices seems just right to me.

Great book

I loved this book just like the rest of the series. But omg the guys voice was so bad. Ugh. Just horrible and when he did Phillip’s voice he sounded like a mobster. 😂. It was very distracting from what is a great book.

Great Read

That Love (That Boy, #4) was a great read by Jillian Dodd. Danny is the handsome football player who everyone has a crush on. Jennifer met him fifteen years ago and was instantly attracted to him. They both felt a connection but unfortunately Danny is married and his wife is pregnant. Jennifer finds herself in a life that isn’t perfect, although she is an award-winning actress. She is faced with a cheating boyfriend who was caught on video in an Amsterdam brothel. JJ contacts her and she goes to see her and hiding from the paparazzi. She stumbles on Danny while at JJ’s and they are both still insanely attracted to each other. I can’t wait to read more by Jillian Dodd.
