Love love love

I’ve never read an Ana Huang book that I didn’t absolutely adore. I love soccer and romance and putting the 2 together is chefs kiss.

I love anything Ana writes

Such a great book, narrators, and spice was amazing. My only issue was with Scarlett, she was difficult to understand/tolerate at times.

Soooo Gooood!!

I loved this book! I loved Asher and Scarlet's relationship. This book made me laugh and cry. As a futball fan its amazing! Go Blackcastle! The performance from these two is chefs kiss! All around a fantastic time and totally worth your time as a reader.

Not her strongest story but it’s ok

Listen, I want to preface this by saying I LOVE Ana Huang’s stories and her. Like in a big way. I think about Christian/Stella and Dante/Vivan everyday. I own the kindle, audible, hard cover and paperbacks.

This being said- I don’t believe this will be the same for Asher and Scarlet. The entire story is predictable. She’s followed the same recipe even down to having the same dynamics. A guy who doesn’t have friends to advise him, a girl with a tight knit group of friends who fall in love quickly by some close proximity situation. There’s a naysayer and then a loss of faith moment then HEA.
To be fair this is the same with most of the new romance stories but must it be the same story? Must it be such a long story? This could have finished maybe 150 pages in.

Same characters with no diversity? Ana plssss.

The characters are likeable enough, the world building was good and we’d met Asher in many of her other books so we’re already programmed to like him but I feel we learned more about him in other books than his own. I’d listen to this for Shane’s voice. But if you’re not using a credit, wait til it goes on sale. Don’t pay full price.
