funny and sexy

There is quite a bit of humor in this book and it had me laughing out loud. One of my favorite parts is when she is first discovering her vessel to share her magic with and self proclaims herself a sex godess with the weapon of a spork. The fact that it is a spork and how she handles her negative situations in a humourous way really made me enjoy this story throughout. Then there are the men. Three students and a teacher! Didnt expect that. The personality that each character in the book is given is pretty good and makes you feel for them all, even the bad ones. I cant wait to see where Jade's powers take her as we still know next to nothing about what her future role means. I'm intrigued by a good story line and the hot scenes that are for sure coming. I've never read anything by these authors before but I will definitely check out other work now, I really enjoyed this book.

Unleashing Trials

I read this as part of a book challenge. This is not usually the type of book I choose to read but I have to say I was very surprised. It was very entertaining and fun and the author displayed wait a fun imagination. It was easy to follow it was enjoying to listen to the narrators did a great job portrayed each character. I wish it wasn’t in so many parts and cannot wait till the final book of the series is written

Good book

Good start to a series that promises to keep you interested until the very end. The characters are very well written and the storyline flows nicely.

Couldn’t stop listening

This story was so addictive. I couldn’t stop listening to it. It is unique and fresh. The performance was spot of as well. I definitely recommend this book!

Unleashing trials

Okay, good start to a series. Girl, get taken to a school of magic to unlock her power. just to find out she has some kind of power that gets people in the mood for sex. her power is so strong and can't help what happens. Not only does she have problems with controlling her power, but she has 3 boys that, for some reason, hate her and like her at the same time. And someone out there is trying to hurt her, and of course, she has 3 bullies she has to deal with that are called the bella's just great.

Great story. Funny and sexy.

Great story about a girl, Jade, who is practically a slave getting her chance at freedom. She has received her invitation for the big unveiling where the children of magical families have their potential powers unleashed for the first time since birth. If she has any such powers she will be required to attend the Academy of Sorcery to ensure she has control of them. When two good-looking guys show up to make sure her boss allows her to attend, she is reluctant to go as she knows her "boss" will take it out on her father. But, nevertheless, off she goes.

I am not going to describe what happens when it is her turn to have her magic unveiled as that is too good to spoil for you. Let's just say it is unexpected. The next thing she knows she is under guard by a rotation of great looking mages, which is not exactly to her liking..or her disliking. You will laugh out loud at her attempts to get control of her magic's vessel/weapon. There are, of course, mean girls and a hot professor. Enjoy. Can't wait for the next one to see what happens.

OMG I want to be her

after listening to the story I can't wait to Devour the next one I want to be in the school of sorcery I want to be her the story is so well told that it makes you feel like you're part of the story and if you don't get turned on by some of the scenes something's wrong it's a must-listen must-read got to get the next one

Term 1: Unleashing Trials: Academy of Sorcery, Book 1, my first read from author Alexa B. James & Athena Phoenix. I was given an Audible copy of this book back in and am voluntarily reading & reviewing it. Narrator Marnye Young's wonderful narration adds to the book's enjoyment. I look forward to the next book in the series. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Lacking

The story didn't intrap me, i felt like I stayed on the outside. The characters had the potential for depth but it just wasn't there. Some of the things the main character did or said no normal teenage girl or even adult girl is going to do.

Entertaining and Steamy Listen!

This book was great! I love the characters, although the guys could use a bit more character distinction. I found that once I started, it was hard to stop listening because it is very entertaining and easy to read. The world that the story is set in is also intriguing and I can't wait to see it develop even more. And I can't forget to mention all of that deliciously steamy tension. So good!

As for the narrator, she did a great job. She was very easy to understand and listen to. She also does a great job with the characters and bringing them to life. 5/5 stars for her!
