Publisher's Summary

Curtis Hunt has made a name for himself as a chainsaw wood carver, winning national competitions and operating a small business in Rainbow Cove, Oregon. As winter whittles away his tourist traffic, his goal is just to survive the season and try to not get lost in grief for his dead lover. It's been two years, but he's sure he'll never be over the love of a lifetime. However, his body has a certain restlessness that he doesn't quite know how to calm.

Logan Rosner knows a thing or two about restlessness. It's what drove him to Rainbow Cove to be a chef at a bar and grill run by his friends. And it's what drives him to a single sizzling encounter with the local legendary lumberjack. Both men get far more than they expected and learn that first impressions aren't always accurate....

But when Logan proposes a series of sexy lessons, Curtis must decide how much he's willing to risk. He knows he can't afford to get attached to Logan's good cooking, his easy smiles, or his caretaking, but he keeps going back for more, even as deeper emotions become involved. Soon, Curtis must decide whether to risk his heart again or risk losing Logan for good.

Contains mature themes.

Good listen!

My only criticism is with the narrators. I love them both but felt that they should have done opposite roles. The reader who did Logan sounded more masculine (kind of like a woodsy sort) and the reader who did Curtis was rather preppy sounding. Just my opinion.

Enjoying

I am really enjoying this series and I hope it continues. I liked the May/December romance and the trials and tribulations. The narration was a little confusing because I couldn't always tell the characters apart. But it was good overall.

Tender with a Twist

Well, Wasn't that a Pleasant, Kinky surprise!
This book is Great. I'm not sure what I was expecting exactly, But this was way better than I thought it would be. Landon is the Chef at the Tavern in the town of Rainbow Cove and is a smaller, more delicate guy with a bigger dominating personality, even though no one seems to believe it of him because of the way he looks, and what happened when he was younger. Curtis, is a rougher, Axe wielding, wood carving, lumberjack of a man, who is still reeling over the death of his former lover 2 years earlier. These two have some major inner demons to deal with, all while trying keep from forming a kinky bond together "It's just some Kink lessons" "don't get any feelings" LOL. While somewhat mild, The BDSM scenes in this book were fantastic and very well written and super Hot. I really enjoyed the dynamic between Logan and Curtis when it came to that part of their relationship. I totally Hated Logan's parents, like, the entire book, they were super condescending towards Logan the entire time and I really could not imagine having to put up with their crap for as long as Logan did, he is a way better "kid" than I would have been in his situation. I also think that Curtis's back-n-forth thoughts on whether he should be with Logan, or if he should get another chance at love, and that he was afraid to even tell anyone about the two of them, even though they had every single other secondary character as mutual friends was a little over the top since it was brought up on several occasions throughout the entire book. But I do think it was needed and brought more depth to the whole story. Great book, Great narration.
Now, On to the Narration. I really appreciated listening to this one. These narrators together made this book Sound Really HOT. They did a great job and fluidly switching back and forth between the two narrations and characters in the book. And proved to me why they are both still up on my favorites list as far as Narrators go.
