Publisher's Summary

Fate is a powerful thing....

Ethan Wate is still grieving the loss of his beloved Amma when he receives an unexpected gift - the old, yellow Whitman's Sampler box that held Amma's most closely guarded secrets. "One day I might let you have a look under that lid, Ethan Wate," Amma used to say. "But today isn't the day."

Now it's time for one of her greatest secrets to be revealed. In a long-lost letter, Amma tells Ethan the story of growing up as a young Seer with a remarkable gift for reading cards. But with a power that far-reaching comes responsibility, and Amma has been honoring her mission since before Ethan was born - to protect the Wate family at any cost. So when Lila Jane Evers enters Mitchell Wate's life, bringing the whole Caster world with her, Amma turns to her cards. This time, it's a reading that will define the rest of her life - and Ethan's.

In this second installment of Beautiful Creatures: The Untold Stories, number-one New York Times best-selling authors Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl bring you even deeper into the Caster world.

AMA!!!! SHE LOVED ETHAN BEFORE HE WAS EVEN BORN!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes I would, especially if you have read the series!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Ama!

What does Kevin T. Collins bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I like Kevin's narrations...he is good!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The ending

Any additional comments?

I am on to book 3! In this one we see how Ama has really always had the answers...This is set after Ama is gone, and Ethan gets a box with things meant for him, after Ama's passing...Ama has always loved Ethan, even before he was born!

How Amma came about...

I've always wondered while reading this series how Amma came into Ethan's life. It is amazing to see that she spent her entire life protecting Ethan before he was ever thought of or even born! She had no idea what her true purpose in life was until the day his presence was announced. What unconditional love! I love Amma and this made me so sad to kind of experience life after Amma through Ethan's eyes.

Always Alma...

I loved this story. This story confirmed what I suspected all along. Alma was more than just a caretaker. She was more than just a cook. She was a blessing. She was an amazing part of the Waite family that was destined to do what she did. I loved this story!!!
