Short, sweet and clean romance

This is a stand alone novel written from Sarah's point of view, telling the story of how she went from a homeless teen to single parent of adopted kids, then on to find true love and her happily ever after.

A clean romance that also deals with deeper issues such as 9/11, death and foster care. The characters felt very similar to the ones in Lykin's other books - very well spoken (rarely use contractions such as I'm) but still quite naive and a bit too perfect. If you like your romance short, sweet and clean then this is the book for you.

I listened to the audiobook edition which I received free in exchange for an honest review. The narrator spoke clearly and at a good pace. I felt that Kandi portrayed Sarah's character well.

Destiny but maybe Fate!

Author T.R. Lykins has written a beautiful story. It reminds me of a movie I watched but I'm having trouble of remembering the title of the movie. The story focuses on a female named Sarah. she was dealt a hard hand in life, being placed in the system when her mom was found dead from an overdose, then finding herself placed in bad homes, she decides she'd rather live on the streets than having something happen to her in and that's what she did. She meets a family and watched their three children. Her life changes even more on 9/11 when she decides not to take the children to their dad's job. Sarah's life changes after 9/11 after a tragedy. The children's dad left her the home, the children, along with plenty of money to take care of them all. Sarah's invested everything into taking care of those children as anyone should. She loves them and hasn't even went on dates because she thinks only of those children. She writes books for a living and does have to go on book signings but not often and she normally takes them with her when she goes. This is how she meets Adam Parker, at a book signing. Sarah. Adam is a social worker and he spends his time to make sure he doesn't fail the kids when placing them in a new home. He loves what he does and he goes above and beyond what is required of him when it comes to doing his job.

Narrator, Kandi Peppers does a good job with the narration of this story. I can't say it's a perfect performance but it was pleasant and easy to listen to. I received this audio in exchange for an honest review.

Incredibly beautiful!

What a great story! Sarah has seen and been thru so much! She was homeless, then got a new home and now is a mom of adopted girls. Sarah lost her mom at a young age and never knew her dad. As if that wasn't enough, 9/11 happened, which is how she got her girls! Sarah always loved them, so she was only too thrilled to adopt them and call them her own.

Adam was on his way to the 2 towers on that fateful day. As he was walking there, he saw a beautiful woman walk by and turned around to follow her & maybe get her phone number. This is the reason Adam didn't die in the towers on 9/11. Adam will spend his life trying to find the woman he feels saved his life. One day, Adam will find her and marry her!

We read along as Sarah raises the girls as her own and then one day, she finds love or does love find her? This is a sweet beautiful romance along with tragedies and triumphs. The author, T R Lykins did a wonderful job on this book. It is filled with romance, love, laughter & happily ever afters! There is so much amazement and emotions in this book, along with a really great plot! The narrator, Kandi Pepper did great delivering this story to us flawlessly with many voices, and emotions and even different accents. Great job ladies! Adam is a dream come true!

A Wonderful Story for the Young at Heart

T.R. LYKINS has hit it out of the park with this audiobook. SARAH’S PREMONITION is not one to pass up. This is a beautifully written story about a girl named Sarah who’s struggled through the system most of her life but one day something happens that changes her life forever. This book is not only for teens and young adults but also for those that are young at heart. I was so impressed, I couldn’t turn it off. It’s a feel good novel with wonderful characters, good morals, and a happy ending. It was a perfectly satisfying listen and a testament to true love.

Sarah has been moved around in the foster system until one day she meets a woman named Pamela who trusts her and takes her in as a housekeeper and sitter for her two young girls while her and her husband work in New York City. When Pamela meets with tragedy, Sarah stays on and continues taking care of the children. One day Sarah leaves to take the girls to their father’s workplace and her intuition tells her to go back home. When she turns around to head back, Adam sees her. He’s on his way to work in the city and changes his course as well as he tries to catch up with her because from the minute he saw her, he knew she was the one. Both their decisions that day ultimately changed their lives forever. While she’s worried that she may be in trouble for not showing up, whenever she gets home she receives a sad but timely phone call from the girl’s father who’s glad she didn’t.

Meanwhile, Adam didn’t return to work either and instead went back to school and received his degree and went to work for social services knowing he could make a difference in many children’s lives. He never forgot the beautiful girl he tried to catch up with and had looked for her ever since. During this time Sarah begins a writing career and her and the girls, Nichole and Jessica are going to a book signing at a bookstore where Adam happens to be. Neither of them knew that their lives were about to change again. For the better.

I’m telling you, I can’t rave enough about this book. It’s sweet, it’s important, and it’s full of meaning. It was complete with well-developed characters who had alternating chapters in the beginning and moved forward with grace and style. This one was a standout for me and I won’t quickly forget it. I definitely recommend listening to this audiobook. I fell in love with it.

KANDI PEPPERS did an unforgettable job narrating this book. She was the embodiment of Sarah. She had wonderful voice control that fluctuated with the emotions of the characters. Adding that with her natural voice inflections made this a perfect match with story and reader. Hers is one of the best performances I’ve listened to. She made this an enjoyable listen. Again, definitely recommended.

A Very Wholesome Romance

Received this title for free from Audiobook Blast in exchange for an unbiased review

Narration - Kandi Peppers - Narration OK. I think this would be tough for a narrator because the author uses no contractions, (I heard only 1 in the whole book) so it doesn't seem like normal speech that I'm accustomed to anyway. She has a lovely voice though and reads at a good pace.

This is a wholesome love story. Very wholesome. It's a bit of a PSA for the foster care system and "waiting until you're married"
Main character is a 30+ year old virgin who goes from being in the foster care system, to homeless on the streets, to nanny, to Mom when the parents of her charges both die.

This is, as I said a wholesome story, very light and fluffy, even though it discusses some deeper topics. Suited for younger readers and those who like clean romances.

Beautiful

I really loved this book, but I had some issues with character development. I also had a problem with the narrators southern twang confusing me at first. other than that, great book.
