♡This was my first read by K. & I freaking loved it! The banter, spice, tension, & relatable characters kept me engaged from beginning to end! I can't wait to check out more titles by K.!

The dual narration for this audiobook was wonderful! Ryan did an amazing job at bringing our swoon-worthy, spicy & only sweet for her drummer Gizmo to life! Amy was the perfect pick to voice Hendrix our sassy, independent, willing to help anyone baker to life! Hendrix has become one of my favorite FMCs because I see so much of myself in her!

If you like a marriage of convenience romance, with top-tier banter, & amazing supporting characters look no further.♡

Sweet surrender…

I loved this so much two people not knowing one another yet they need each other more than they know. My heart ached for them for Jace his past definitely impacted who he became and for her the heartbreak of a rotten relationship. This fake marriage became very real as they started catching feelings. I really loved listening along to the story and listening to them grow a bond that is unbreakable. The ending was so sweet ! The narrators did a fabulous job with the characters. Absolutely perfect story and narration.

Ok so I'm not going to lie. I originally wasn't interested in reading this one because of the cover (now the discreet cover - I LOVE). BUT. I am so glad I did!

Gizmo is the drummer for the band BENT. He's on probation for some trouble in the past and isn't allowed to leave the country for a tour unless he cleans up his act. Hendrix needs help saving her cookie business thank to her ex's betrayal. What could help them both?? A marriage of convenience.

I'm a SUCKER for a marriage of convenience and this one did not disappoint. This one had way more depth to it than I anticipated. Jase had such a dysfunctional upbringing and had a lot of issues and trauma and sometimes didn't cope the best way. They were absolute opposites and there was a lot of push and pull but I loved seeing them try to figure it out. Something about them together just worked! I love them so much. My heart ached for them towards the end and it made me want to cry. I do think she should've made him grovel a little more but I can deal with that.

I loved this book and I'm definitely going back to read more!

This was a dual narration by Ryan Lee Dunlap & Amy Hall. Both of these narrators are new to me. I enjoyed both of them so much. They captured my attention so easily. I was so invested in their storytelling and I seriously felt all the range of emotions. I absolutely want to listen to more books narrated by this pair!

Sweet, Spicy and Swoony

I love K. Bromberg's writing. She did not disappoint with this book.

This book revolves around a marriage of convenience between a rock star and a baker. Jase, AKA Gizmo, is the drummer of a well-known band and finds himself needing help. His reckless behavior put him at risk of missing out on the tour with his band. However, when he locks eyes with a captivating woman, he is determined not to let her go.

I love how Hendrix stood her ground and didn’t give an inch. She was fierce and unyielding. The chemistry between Jase and Hendrix was electric! Their banter was entertaining, and the sexual tension was fire. I loved that they were unwavering with their support for each other and despite being total opposites, their differences only added to their love for each other.

This was my first audio by these two narrators and from the start, I was hooked from the first words. Ryan Lee Dunlap and Amy Hall bring so much emotion and life to the characters and story.

hook, line, and sinker

I enjoyed this book by K. Bromberg... I haven't read from her in a while, so I think this was a good re-introduction. Jace and Hendrix were both complex characters in their own right. Both have relationship problems and daddy issues.

When Jace or "Gizmo" finds himself in a pickle, trying to fix up his bad reputation, he finds that Hendrix is the perfect candidate to help him. Hendrix, herself, is far behind on issues. Her boyfriend has broken up with her and run off with their money -- money she needed for her bakery.

In hindsight, it's a win-win situation... but can they manage to keep it professional while also keeping their demons at bay?

K. Bromberg did not come to play with this book! I’m obsessed!! 😍😍 I devoured this audio whole in one sitting. 🤭

Jase & Hendrix together was absolute fire!! 🔥 So much chemistry and literally THE best banter and the sexual tension was through the roof! It what I really really loved about these two was how they ALWAYS showed up for one another. There’s nothing I love more than a supportive partner, who just wants to see you thrive. Gizmo surprised me. I really thought he was going to struggle with being fake married to Hendrix, but this man was made to be her husband. The two of them are complete opposites, but that’s what made them so beautiful. 🥰

Absolutely loved this on audio! This was my first audio by these two VA’s and, honestly, they were so unbelievably good!! I feel like their voices fit the characters personalities, and I was so impressed with them both! I’ll forsure be adding Amy and Ryan to my list to watch out for. 💕

What a great ending

Hendrix is about to lose her cookie shop because her ex cheated on her, then cleaned out the savings account and left her in debt.
Jace Gizmodo is a rock star drummer with family secrets that have caused him to act out all of his life. This time his actions may impact the group and cause them to cancel an international tour. In order to help clean up his reputation, his lawyer/brother, tells him to find a women to marry and to stay out of trouble.
Jace and Hendrix marry for convenience and to help each other with their problems. NDA's are signed, and they both agree not to have sex and cross the line. Needless to say, they couldn't keep that promise.

Giz & Cookie

Hendrix Wright is barely holding on to her dream bakery because of her cheating boyfriend and business partner. Bad boy drummer, Jase Gizmodo, seems to be a magnet for scandalized behavior. Due to all his scrapes with the law, a judge is holding Jase's passport for ransom which threatens their popular band from embarking on their upcoming international tour. His brother, who is also his lawyer, tells Jase he needs to turn his reputation around fast. When his brother suggests he get married to prove to the judge that he's settled down, Jase recalls the chance encounter in a coffee shop where he overheard a phone conversation between Hendrix and her ex. She begrudgingly agrees, and the more time Hendrix spends around Jase, the more she realizes how different he is from his reckless public persona. She challenges him in the best ways and looks out for him like no one has, aside from his band mates.
I loved these two and the way they took care of and watched out for one another. Jase has been through so much, and I loved that he found his person! Narrator, Ryan Lee Dunlap did a fantastic job bringing out the playful side of Jase as well as his tormented side when he talked about his family. Amy Hall brought out Hendrix's teasing and vulnerable sides as well. Only thing that would have made it better was hearing Giz's song at the end!

Oh. My. God. I couldn't put this book down. I read and listened to it. It was a beautiful story. It was NOT what I thought it was going to be, I saw Rockstar and ended up with this sweet, sweet man. Rough around the edges, but sometimes you just need someone to melt you back together ❤️ I'm only sad I didn't start with the first book. Now I'm going back to the beginning!

Don’t be fooled by the cover!!

This is by far my favorite rockstar romance! So dang good. I didn’t want to ever end. I really liked book one and wasn’t sure if I’d like this one bc we didn’t really know Gizmo at all, but he hooked me in his first couple chapters. Highly recommend even if you don’t read book one.

And for the love of god- get a new cover! It scaring readers/listeners away. Not corny at all!
