Publisher's Summary

K9 Officer Otto Gunnersen always had a soft spot for anyone in need. As Monroe's very own Dr. Doolittle, he dedicates himself to rehabilitating the injured souls that cross his path - but for all his big heart, he's never been in love.

Until he meets Sarah Clifton's haunted eyes. Until he realizes he'll do anything to save her.

All Sarah wants is to escape a life caught between ambitious crime families, but there's no outrunning her past. Her power-mad brother would hunt her to the ends of the Earth...but he'd never expect Sarah to fight back. Great Story; Horrible Narration

As usual, the people living in Monroe are well-blended keeping the main characters front and center. I love the addition of puppies intermixed with the rescue dog and the retired dog. It was exciting for Otto to have his turn finding "his woman."

Spoiler alert.... what a shock about the police chief; didn't see that one coming.

Thanks Katie for another great follow-on in a series of cool puppy stories (with some love mixed in)!!

Please, the narration is horrific. Choppy, kinda makes you sea-sick. Let's get a new one please.

I love this book

Katie Ruggle writes the best characters. She is so talented at developing strong, loyal, sexy and determined characters (male and female), who also have tones of flaws that just make them more interesting.
The storyline is amazingly ‘Die Hardish’ (if I can make up that word). Everyone hero’s and villains have multiple lives, are amazingly bulletproof and brave and somehow there is always something or someone that unexpectedly saves the day.
Somehow this all works due to the authors genius and I cant put the book down - I just want to keep listening.
This book is a true romance and I love that it gives the reader a chance to revisit previous characters that we want to know how their doing now.
Light easy listen

Will they survive the night?

A group of cops some with k9 partners. A houseful of women who have escaped unbelievable lives to resettle with the help of someone in the dark. The cops may not know their stories but the women are strong, sexy and draw them like no others. Who can resist hot guys with dogs they love and use to protect others. Especially when they are desperately in need of protection.

Each man has a woman he's drawn to with a past she doesn't want to share. Otto is literally speechless when he meets Sarah. Eventually, the two find their words and each other. Otto has his own person rescue farm. His menagerie draws Sarah, the fact he is so tender and caring. She shows just how much when she must SURVIVE THE NIGHT.

This series is good. I was drawn by the k9 aspect and am in for the long run.

Volume control please

Too loud, too soft, too loud, too soft. Can’t get into the book because I’m too busy changing the volume. Like the authors books but I don’t like being screamed at.

Excellent

Loved it! looking forward to starting the next book. This series, while listening, makes driving and doing housework much more enjoyable.

Thriller all the way

Liked all the characters finally coming together; but hope there will be more about fireman Steve. Great narration. I probably would.

This is an explosive read!

Otto Gunnersen, Monroe’s very own Doctor Doolittle... has met his match.

When Otto first meets Sarah Clifton, it’s a slap of reality he hadn’t been expecting. She’s beautiful, shy and running from something. Otto treats her as if she were a skittish bird, and eases her into his life. Or him into hers.

The attraction grows and when danger strikes, Otto is there to save the day. But the action doesn’t stop there. It’s a struggle daily to keep her safe but Otto is the man for the job. It’s a job he willingly takes on.

I loved this book. I love the relationship they form and how they just kind of know that they both are it for the other.

Their bonds are what pull them together and keep them fighting to get closer and to realize just how happy they are together.

I wish there was more of these two. I do love them!

The line that included ascared instead of afraid was bad enough, then you made the
leading characters into two bleeding heart who can't kill a bad guy. oh my.
