Warm-hearted story with a little suspense

A nice warm-hearted story for Christmas that includes a side of suspense. The primary characters were truly some of Katie Ruggles' most easily identifiable/realistic. Their inner conflict and dialogues added true dimension to the story. Loved the kids in this but, wow, all are really good and highly intelligent? That's a really good parent dream come true. ;-)
A good Christmas story to read.

Good story

At times I wanted to fast forward only because the author stagnated in parts. It would go over and over saying the same thing and not move forward. But I stuck with it because it is a good story and I wanted to see what happened at the end. I would have given it 5 stars but the fact that a couple times I found myself saying "just do it!" I couldn't. That said I did like the book and if you can stick with it it's a good story.

Great story. Strong Narration.

Love this author and how she intertwines a series into another series. This narrator was okay, but I felt like she was yelling at me the whole time....very strong voice...not something to fall asleep to.

This book was suspenseful, yet romantic. It gave me the want to keep listening, knowing there was a sweet ending.

sweet story

the story was good and definitely gave enough time for the characters to interact and their interests to bloom naturally. I appreciate that the author didn't use sex as a plot device.

Finally Steve gets the girl

I have been listening to several of Katie Ruggle’s books and have loved them all but I couldn’t wait to listen to the one with Steve and his children. When you add an eccentric woman with a handsome firefighter with 4 children you are bound to have trouble. This book was a very good listen and keep me from wanting to stop listening.

I Just Can't!

Listening to this is pure torture. The narrator has no inflection or feeling; flat. Sounds like she's reading to 5th graders. Returned!!!

Not thrilled with story line

It’s a fine story until the reveal ending. I’ve always been a Ruggle fan but the lack of a good ending really threw me for a loop. I promise her other books are better!! Yes, I did listen to it all and finished it hoping for a good ending. So many opportunities here with great characters, cute town, and shy characters… just wish the ending wasn’t such a bummer.
