Publisher's Summary

When Timothy finally found work as a tester for a popular online MMORPG, his lifelong dream was fulfilled. And now, he earns money (and pretty good money, at that) just for doing what he loves - playing a beautiful and realistic computer game. But he isn't some typical run-of-the-mill player, like the millions of others. Timothy is truly capable and talented, and stands out from the crowd. In fact, the faceless masses consider him far too lucky and successful. Many players dislike him for his achievements and hunt him down ruthlessly just because they feel envious or because he looks different. So, what is he to do now that the whole world is against him and his only allies are his beloved sister and a few trusted friends? Make peace? Sink down to their level? Or just fly ever higher on the wings of success? It's all up to Timothy!

I need MORE!

This title surpassed the first and was one of my better listens in a long time. I really hope they carry on the series and continue to provide a fantastic story! I will very much look for other works by these authors.

The narration was great and I hope to hear many more stories voiced by this narrator.

A good listen, with a weak finish.

For listeners of the first book this is familiar territory and everything is of to a great start. The fine blend of reality and virtual world are kept and you'll find yourself engaged through almost the entire book. However in several parts during the final part of the story one is often left wondering if the author Ra out of ideas or didn't truly consider a proper end for what he built towards. The epilogue is back to usual standards and I can see myself having fun with future installments. But it is definitely not as great a listen as the previous book in the series.

Great balance!

I didn't write a review on the first book due to sheer lack of time because I just had to start the second one right away!!! This story has dramatic ups and downs in all the right places, making me nauseous from treachery as well as fluttery inside when Amra and his cohorts make it by the skin of thier teeth once again. I highly recommend this to anyone who is just starting with litrpg and those who have dedicated most of thier library to this genre...(myself included)

Absolutely Amazing!

I did not expect this series to be as amazing as it is. At first I completely ignored the series in favor of other litrpgs because I wasn't a particular fan of the generic title of the first book or the subpar art style of the cover. I wasn't really interested in watching someone pick flowers for their entire gameplay. I was expecting a dumbed down combination of "The Way of the Shaman" and "Life Reset".

Nearly ALL my expectations are blown.

First. I am entirely in love with the character development of two characters. One named Leon who is a former construction worker with the kindest heart and works honestly. Two being the MC's sister who lost her legs in an unfortunate accident with her parents but is an absolutely amazing gamer. These two characters are so fleshed out for me that I would listen to an entire book devoted just to each of them.

Second. He is a terrible Herbalist. Well... He is more of an alchemist that a herbalist. The book barely focuses on the aspect of plant gathering instead focusing on the various troubles of our little green friend. There are interesting race and class combinations, the use of the stats system is well thought out and I am personally a huge fan of Primary and Secondary skills. It all just works for me better that other litrpg's.

The narrator is quite good at both male and female voices, young and old. I also love Tantor Media recorded books, it is always done professionally and their voice actors are always top notch.

I have one major qualm and a few minor ones though.

The major issue I have is with the Timothy's npc bride and real girlfriend. The goblin beauty was a candidate for the party because it would be interesting for his followers, but I don't really like her at all. She is caught up in an existential crisis trying to figure out what the "real world" is like. She is more there for drama and to be a trophy wife than an actual member of a party. She is a thief for crying out loud. But she always turns out to be left behind or a damsel in distress not actually contributing to fights or unlocking chests. She needs to be expanded on.

Timothy's real life girlfriend just kind of fell in his lap for plot sake. Some really prestigious player who is unknown to others. He accidentally meets her on his first day and she just sort of stumbles his way into his lap. Despite her being a rich as hell paranoid isolationist, Timothy manages to find out the secret she has managed to hide for years within an hour of browsing the web. It all falls together too nicely. I don't trust her at all an expect her to have ulterior motives, otherwise it would be just too... disappointing.

Those are the highlights and lowlights. This book and series and incredibly intense moments of action and death, makes me want to wail with sorrow, has me grinning from ear to ear with happiness, and has left me with a sense of satisfaction.

You need to reserve your judgment and don't judge a book by its cover. If you enjoy litrpg's you will love this.

Warning: No explicit sex scenes but does contain sexual themes and short discussion on related topics. There is minimal explicative words or cursing and what is there actually works really well.

Go Go Goblin

After completing Book 1, I had to purchase the other two books in Goblin Herbalist story. I have really enjoyed this series. If you read the first book, then go ahead and grab the rest of the series. I couldn't help myself and finished this book very quickly. I really enjoyed it.

hope there is a 3rd book

this is a great story. it balances time in game with time outside. you get more invested in the characters. I can see this going farther with Tim getting more involved with the corporation and moving up the ranks. people coming after him from inside and outside.

Great book

What did you like most about Stay on the Wing?

This is a great lit RPG book. I loved the pirate battles

What other book might you compare Stay on the Wing to, and why?

You could compare this to the path of the Sharman books

Have you listened to any of Eric Michael Summerer’s other performances? How does this one compare?

Just as good as the first book

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did want to do it all in one sitting but I listened to it at work so work went by fast.

Any additional comments?

I don't want to wait for the next one it was really great ending
