Extremely fun listen

As a fan of table top games, I found this book an enjoyable listen. The characters are well developed, and break some of the typical fantasy tropes. The narration is solid; not the best ever, but above average. If you want a fun listen, it's worth a credit.

pretty good but not great; a solid four stars overall. Does raise some questions for the Deep of mind, but that is about it. the characters are not believable but ARE fun.

Would've Never Guessed How Fun...

Too many years ago I enjoyed playing D&D, and this book has a great twist that took me back to those fun times. Definitely worth listening to, you wont be sorry.

Very nice

I especially liked this unusual view on traditional adventuring setup. Highly recommended to Robert Asprin fans) can't wait for Drew Hayes' next book

Fun story, good characters , way to short.

This book was a lot of fun, the story was very engaging. The character dialogue was relatable, and the concept is unique and fun. My biggest issue is this feels like only 1/3 of a book, where's the rest?

A really nice suprise

I got this book on sale so I didn't expect much, but I found it one of the best I've read in awhile. If you want a serious fantasy then this isn't for you. But if you want something with a new story, that's irreverent and funny, and has some of the most interesting characters I've come across in awhile then this book is for you.

Great Story!

Late review.. its been awhile since i first listened to it. Very well written and narrated book! Keep this book on my cell phone for when I'm in between books, think I've listened to it about 4 times now. story moves along nicely and before you realize it, you've come to the end.

Charming and Fun

I enjoyed this book a lot. If you're a RPG-Gamer, odds are you'll like this book too. If you're not a roleplayer, then odds are the humor won't be as good for you. It's very much a book for a nitch-market. It's exactly the kind of story I was looking for at this time too.

The author is a south writer, the reader has distinct voices for each character and a pleasant narration voice. I have already recommended the books to my friends. That being said, it's not an epic book, though it could be the kickoff to an epic series. Defiantly not a book for everyone, but if you're a gamer it's a fun read. I didn't put it down (so to speak).

A very interesting and well thought out approach

The story is a very interesting peak into the world of a game as though it were an organic world. The author really brought it to life and it's obvious he spent a lot of time thinking each aspect through.
