Story
Two Feathers was a young Native learning the ways of the Choctaw. However, he was not like the other men in his village who lived off of the land, farming and raising livestock. He enjoyed spilling the blood of the invaders and was absent, fighting, more than he was home. Still, he had fallen for the little white girl who couldn’t farm, couldn’t make baskets, and was generally a failure at native life. Returning from a battle, he discovered the white men had taken Bliss, the woman with whom he expected to share his life. Gone were his desires to do anything other than locate her.

Publisher's Summary
As a child, Clementine Monroe had an imaginary friend. Year after year, whenever she visited her grandparents' cabin in South Dakota, she and Wihanbla would meet and spend time learning about each other's worlds - hers in the 21st century, his on the cusp of the infamous battles that would eventually lead to the internment of his people on reservations. Now grown, Clementine and her friend continue to meet, though her family has decided that she should have long ago done away with her "imaginary" friend. Clementine knows better. Wihanbla is as real as the sunshine she sees when she opens her eyes each day. She may not be able to touch it or him, but both are beautiful and true. They may be two individuals out of time, but their love is timeless. Over the years, Clementine grows desperate for a way to be with the man she knows is her true soul mate - but how?

A light love story
I enjoyed this story. Love can even conquers time. This book is suitable for both young teens as well as adults.
It has no foul language. Violence does not go into great detail. Sex scenes do not go into great detail. Love conquers in the end.
The narrator giving characters their individual voice.
I found breathing sounds bit annoying.
This book was given to me for a unbiased review.

Perfectly Out of Time
This is a story that held my attention long after I finished. Two lovers are destined for one another beyond time and space. Clementine spends each summer with her grandparents in South Dakota. There is a river not too far from the cabin where she goes to think. When she notices a boy on the other side of the river, she is drawn to him and wants to be friends. His name is Wihanbla and he is unsure that they should speak but he, too, is drawn to her and their friendship starts slowly. They can speak, but they can't touch and the mystery between them begins to grow. She realizes that she's from his future and doesn't want to hurt him with what she knows is going to happen to his tribe. Her parents are convinced that Wihanbla is imaginary and they keep telling her she has to stop believing in him. She knows that's not the case and when they see each other every summer, they try to bridge the space between them. What are they going to do to become closer! Clementine's grandfather knows more than he lets on and the slow resolution of who and what Dreamer is makes so much sense. There is overwhelming sadness but there is also great hope that remains as they find that their destiny has been predetermined. Breathtaking!
I also listened to this on audible Christy Sassmen narrates the story with clear and distinct voices. Well done!

Love across time
#1 complaint is the quality of the audio. The narrator took odd pauses and you could hear some background noise.
Now that the complaints are out of the way, I loved this story! I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out if the love story would be able to play out or end in tragedy. Great story and I can’t wait to dive into more of this series!

Decent
As with the first book this was not what I was expecting when I first got the books. However entering into this one knowing that it was a Hallmarky type story made it a little easier. However this book had the same issue as the other with narration. Mispronounced words, dropping the ends of words and sometimes poor voice transitions. Overall I would recommend this book however to anyone who likes love stories.

What a wonderful story
I love this story. how the author mixed the past and present together. The characters are well created and the story of past native Americans and present day is just awesome. how the past and present meets and you wonder if they can have a happy ending knowing the history of Lakota.
This is the second book in a series and I am always afraid of the author falling into kind of repeat of the last book with different names and places. No this book is so different from the first one but still about the story of the Lakota and native American Indian.
From the first sentence in the book I was captivated.
One thing I always wanted to do as a kid was traveling back in time and meet the Indians before the white man destroyed most of their culture and land. This book made me believe I could.

Beautiful Love Story but....
I really enjoyed the love story, it was very unique, filled with many twists and turns. But I had problems with the narration. For some reason the narrator would mispronounce words or just drop the end of a word altogether. It was distracting and a shame because the story is compelling and lovely.

Enjoyable
I love the concept of this story. Well written and the back and forth through timelines was well executed. The narrator has a calm and appropriate voice for the story, although there are a few places I would have preferred more energy in the read. I think this is a definite for romance novel enthusiasts.
