It was always you, babe.

A Slow Burn, Surprise Pregnancy, Second Chance, Rock Star, Standalone Romance from S.L. Scott, a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author.

The hottest rock star in the world walking into my work wasn’t on my bingo card. Speak of the devil . . .

My soon-to-be ex-husband.

Shane Faris is taller than I remember. Scruffier. More attractive than ever and sporting a sinful smirk that tells me he hears “Yes” too much. Figures.

He offers me the divorce I want, but on one condition . . .

Two nights together, for old times' sake.

He’s partied his way through time zones, collecting ink on his skin to commemorate events I wasn’t a part of. While I struggled to earn my degrees, Shane chased fame and made memories without me.

It’s time to move on.

So why does his presence cause my heart to kick up a beat and my cheeks to blush when he sends me a wink? I can’t resist him. And he is my husband, after all, if only for a few more days.

When one night becomes two lines on a pregnancy test, we must decide whether this is a second chance worth taking together.

good narrator choices......their voices suit their characters ...rags to riches(sort of) with love story spanning more than a decade...Respectful to each other good family vibes interesting though maybe a.little predictable storyline..Still, I' ll definitely revisit it..Please don't add anymore sex scenes.. This book has very nearly too many already; lapgood, though..

Love.....

An entertaining, charming and sweet romance. Shane and Cate are cute together. An accidental marriage led to so much more than either of them could ever imagine. I enjoyed this story.

This is the delightful story of a couple who met in high school, had a history class together and took part in a unique classroom project. They lost track of each other and as adults, at the most inopportune time, the wife found out that they were married, really married! How does she contact her husband to tell him, first they're married and, second, she needs a divorce! Cate Farin and Shane Faris have a history and it's pretty low-key. He was the popular guy in school and she was the shy girl who harbored crushes on the other. Other than a kiss at a bonfire, that was as far as it went. Now that they come face to face as husband and wife there are sparks. They have a chance to become more, but before any commitment is made, they have a misunderstanding and Shane leaves. His reason was quite childish, but it fit with his character. Ten months later, he comes back and has a lot of work to do to convince Cate he's all in. They do find their HEA with two epilogues to make it perfect. A highlight of this story is the inclusion of Nikki Faris, sister of Shane, lead singer of Faris Wheel and her husband,Tulsa Crow, Nikki's husband and member of the Crow Brothers band. Well-played, Ms. Scott!  Erin Mallon and Chris Brinkley do an amazing job portraying the characters, bringing them to life and humanizing them with their emotions, attitude and personality. They do more than giving their characters their voices, they fall into the roles and become the character.

Delightful!
