Publisher's summary

According to my grandma, a broken clock being right twice a day meant that in any given situation, perfect timing only happens twice.

I fell for William Grayson in a matter of minutes. The connection between us was undeniable, but our timing was off. I was dating someone, and by the time I was single again, he was taken. And a year later, when we finally got together, it was clear that we were soul mates. But circumstances out of our control cut our time short.

We were a little older, a little wiser, when our paths crossed again. I was entering a new phase of independence in both my career and my life. He was growing professionally and moving to a new city. And even though our timing was off, it was still clear that we were soul mates. But for the second time, circumstances out of our control cut our time short. My grandma was a wise woman, but my love life taught me that there’s no such thing as perfect timing.

There’s just timing.... Because nothing is perfect. There’s just right now.... Because tomorrow isn’t promised. For as long as we’d known each other, William and I just wanted to be together. It was as simple and as complicated as that.

List of things Danielle Allen did

1. THAT

This book is so good, y’all. Allen is an incredible storyteller, ebbing and flowing the dialogue and narrative with an ease that was so natural and engaging for me as a reader. The character building and relationship dynamics for the main and secondary characters sucked you in, and it felt as if you were watching a movie.

The love between Will and Layla was not only written as timeless, it felt timeless.

Wesleigh Siobhan beasted the narration for male and female characters with a genius that upped the ante even more for her talent.

Bravo. 5 stars, all around.

This is a MUST

Omg!!! Omg 😭 This was my very first Danielle Allen book and it was amazing.
Never has a book sucked me in within the first 5 minutes. It was an emotional roller coaster and I was here for the whole ride. The love between Layla and Will just takes a hold of you. My heart is broken right now but I am ok!!!!! You must read/listen to this book but babyyy trust and believe me keep your tissues near.
Danielle Allen open my eyes to a new genre and she is currently one of my favorite authors!!

Danielle Allen, you have written a beautiful love story. Wesleigh Siobhan, your performance was excellent you brought every character to life. This is a love story that we would all like to experience. The ending was so sad but yet so elegant.

I’m glad I read

I struggled with purchasing this book because the reviews kept saying depressing however I’m glad I took the chance and bought it. I can see why they would think that but as someone that survived 4 brain surgeries and other illnesses I appreciate the message that was shared thru this book. Fiction or not it hit home.

Loved it

Definitely shed a few tears but the book was amazing and so were the narrators. Wish it could’ve been a happy ending though

Emotional

I like that the author wrote a book about relationships that some authors don’t usually write about. This book was good, emotional, it is definitely a realistic read. Not many authors write about these type of life changes in relationships. The book was good, BUT not the type of book that I’d want to read. This is my first time writing a book of this type and if I were to be honest-One experience is enough. I wouldn’t want to read a book of this nature again. For those that like interesting reads of this magnitude, it is a good book. I wouldn’t discourage others to not read it. It is a touching book and has a string of emotions involved. I’m just speaking for myself. The book has the “Life happens” effect and for that reason—It was ok, because of the truth in it. The ending was just too depressing for my liking.
