Another wonderful Cat in the Stacks cozy mystery

I really enjoyed Something Whiskered by Miranda James. Charlie and Helen Louise, now married, are having a three week honeymoon in Ireland. Of course they brought Diesel also. Helen Louise is a cousin to the family they’re staying with. Of course there is a murder, actually two. I won’t give anything away. The author’s descriptions are fantastic and I can picture the places in Ireland, the castle where Charlie, Helen Louise and Diesel stayed in addition to where they went sightseeing.
This is another great book in the series and it was a nice change from Charlie’s hometown and the many murders he’s helped solve there. I love Erin Bennett, she is a fantastic narrator. Now I can’t wait for the next audiobook in the series!

Great to locate story in Ireland

Like that story unfolds with many possibilities and several people who focus on resolving the crimes. So refreshing to NOT have a contentious relationship between stars of the story and the police. Like the twists and mystery story takes. Great read overall!

It was ok

I had a bit of a hard time with this one. I thought the story took a long time to get somewhere. Narrator is good as always.

Good “who-did-it”!

I liked the pace of the audio book, and the fact that there were several possible perpetrators. The only distractions to the story was the reader’s decision to make the main characters have southern accents when all previously read books in this series didn’t, and the author’s decision to make Charlie sound like an old man when none of the previous books in the series did.

Despite those issues, I enjoyed the story and the reader did a good job differentiating each character’s voice, and would recommend it.

A Trip to Ireland

I loved going on a trip to Ireland with Diesel and staying in a castle!

Loved it

Miranda James has done it again with the latest addition in her Cat in the Stacks series. All the characters we’ve grown to know and love are present and accounted for with a tempting mystery to solve.
Erin Bennett gave a stellar performance as she breathed life into the storyline and gave each character their own distinct voice.
I highly recommend this book and series to cozy mystery fans and look forward to the next in this wonderful series.

Better and better!

This series just gets better with each new book. In this Irish adventure sense of familiarity intertwines with new intrigue and new characters. Perfection. I hope we see more of these books, there is no series fatigue here as seen in other long running books.
Instead a masterful twist of combining the lovable traits of the series characters with new mysteries to keep the reader guessing. I do wish there was more of these ghost cat, what a cute addition to the cast of characters!

I look forward to more in this series.

Another enjoyable book in the series

Absolutely love this series and the characters! This one was a little different since they were in Ireland but I really enjoyed it!

Another successful story by Miranda James

This is the first audiobook I have listened to by Miranda James, but I have read many of her books. I very enjoyed the story and all the characters. Erin Bennett is a good narrator, but I thought a male narrator or a male and a female would have made the story even better. Erin Bennett struggled with male voices as well as Irish accents.

another great addition to the series

I loved pretty much everything about this book. the narrator did a really good job. the story was very complex and entertaining and I enjoy how it ended.
