Deification is one hell of a nerf…

So I’m a god, so what? I’m weaker than ever! I have no stats, no skills, and no physical stamina! In fact, the only thing I got out of this upgrade was...legs. But since I never have the energy to walk, the others have no choice but to haul me around like a piece of luggage. Can’t we just get to the demon realm already?! We’re so close! One final leap over the Mystic Mountains, and—Wait, what? There’s a rampaging ogre killing everyone in sight? Greaaat. Of course there’s a surprise boss battle right before the checkpoint. Work your OP magic, Demon Lord! …Hey, wait a minute. I recognize that ogre!

Badly written good story

The story is actually good, but the writing often is not. The biggest issue is the redundant sentences spending a whole paragraph to say one simple thing ten different ways. But I'm still hooked. Looking forward to the next one.

absolute banger

the narration is on point as always. The story on this one is probably less good then some of the other books, but still worth it.

Better than the last couple, still not amazing.

Repetitive narration and slow pacing mars what might otherwise be a really solid entry in the series. Even still, the addition of more POV characters really helps vary things up.

Narration excellence!

The narrator does such a good job with each character. A true joy to listen!

Good stuff

As many have said it focuses on the story and there are a few big ol’ issues with it namely the repetitive nature of it but it’s still really enjoyable

Another great installment

A bit different from the last one but entertaining from start to finish, excited for next volume to come out

Great! …but fleeting.

Love this series to death. If I had to complain about anything at all about the book is that it was not long enough for me. The time it took to listen to this in its entirety flew by before I even knew it. Since the time between the release of this book and the last book was very short, I’m hoping that the next book will be here shortly.

Oni boy time!

This chapter is very character focused, especially compared to the rest of the series so far. There is still definitely some good action, but if you don’t really care to know about characters backstory’s or connections you might find this a little more boring. Thankfully that is right up my alley, and I loved it. Plus I feel like the voice acting always adds so much to the characters and is very entertaining.

What happens next!?

Caitlin Kelly is fantastic and enhances the story with her voice changes and acting. Once again, I'd rather wait an extra month or two so long as it enables Caitlin Kelly to continue doing the narration. She IS Kumoko at this point.

A few plot threads are starting to come together and I can't wait to see where it all goes. As always, the author maintains a fun and light atmosphere even in the slower paced sections of the story. Only downside were the few different human characters that had their own chapter portions that didn't seem to have much relevance to future plot (namely the adventurers.) But still great and fun :)

This series is in my top 5 audiobook series for sure
