Acerca de esta escucha

Only in Florida: An eastern diamondback rattlesnake appears in the middle of a crowded downtown nightclub, sending one victim to the emergency room. Maddy Finnegan, single mother and Orlando Police detective, is tasked with figuring out the crime. Days later, the stakes escalate to murder, after several western diamondbacks show up in a local synagogue, one sinking its fangs into the neck of a young worshipper.

Finnegan and a team of investigators are assigned to find and stop the Snake Charmer, a sociopath with unlimited resources, before he can carry out his plan to unleash nearly two-dozen of the world’s most venomous species, such as mambas and cobras in the middle of one of the nation’s busiest, biggest theme parks.

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this audiobook. The narrator did a great job voicing different characters, making it very easy to follow. Anyone who has seen the movie, “Snakes on a Plane,” will see interesting parallels between Olander’s plot and the film, though the two are quite different. Olander’s characters come alive as they weave a reptilian crime trail having sent despicable cases of humanity seeking to prey upon innocent segments of society. The thrill ride that Olander takes us on is one that many will be able to relate to, especially in today’s society. I recommend this book highly.
