I found this extremely easy to understand. So easy, it might annoy some, as the author repeats, repeats and then repeats. With a book like this, I believe that is important, so you will remember it without having to go back and listen over and over.
There are some things that go against the norm and that are different from anything else you may have tried. I found the cold baths to be interesting and I will try my own version of cold showers, but there is nothing I hate worse then a cold shower. Not eating breakfast, is something I tried a month ago on my own. It was actually easier then it sounds. I have found that what makes me eat the most is eating. That sounds stupid, but I found that I can hold off eating for a long time, but once I start I can not stop. My problem was that I was trying to just eat twice a day. Fulton says eat three meals and no snacks. If I eat a full meal for lunch and then know that I am going to eat in 3 to 4 hours, I can do that. I did it yesterday as I was listening to this and it worked well, except after dinner I was still hungry. I will have to work on that. I believe I can make this plan work.
I am also excited to see if the plan for flattening the stomach works.
The narrator almost sounds like he is reading a children's book, which can be annoying at first. Despite my critical cynical self, I was charmed by him. It took two hours to get into the meat of the book, so you can skip the first couple of hours as that part is just to motivate you.
On the Wheat Belly Diet. I told some people back in November that I would relate my experience with that diet in this review. Sorry it took me so long. That is an extremely hard diet and if married your spouse must be involved. We lasted about a month on it. I lost five pounds, but any diet which tells you to eat nothing but raw vegetables would accomplish that. I thank the Wheat Doctor had some good things to say and convinced me that we have too many wheat products, but his book is very disorganized and not real practical. I have taken away some things that I will keep for life and should help my overall health the rest of my life. Futon's book is also anti carbs, but gives you a more practical path to follow.
