Andrea Owen—a nationally sought-after life coach—crystallizes what’s behind several invisible, undermining habits, from catastrophizing and people-pleasing to listening to the imposter complex or to one’s inner critic. Powerfully on the mark, the chapters are short and digestible, nicely bypassing weighty examinations in favor of punch points of awareness.

Story
Everything you “know” about yourself today is based on who you decided you were when you were just four or five years old. In your childhood you formed decisions about yourself before you were even capable of thinking logically. Those decisions were based on a child’s emotional survival brain, and they are the foundation of the neural pathways of thought and feelings that are instrumental in forming your identity, both positive AND negative. This is why so many people have challenges in their adult lives, especially when it comes to their personal and professional relationships.

No one is immune from life’s difficulties, yet many people are reluctant to talk about mental health or seek professional help when they are struggling. People of faith who are battling issues such as anxiety, depression, life changes, stress, or relationship problems may suffer in silence, believing things will get better if only their faith was stronger, they prayed more, or they had more self-discipline. The stigma about needing to seek help is all too real. But seeking professional help isn’t a sign of weakness.

How often have you wished you could summon the power to turn them down? This program will help you take back your power by showing that a well-placed "No" can not only save you time and trouble, it can save your life.

We seek solace from our suffering and look for wisdom outside the confines of dogma, but soon we're drowning in vague spiritual lingo - intention, higher self, attraction, vibration - that's poetry at best and manipulation at worst. Mastin Kipp offers no fancy degrees, just his life and his scars, which form a roadmap to help guide you through the uncertainty that lies ahead, marking where the cliffs are slippery, where the sun burns hot - and where Grace blossoms.

Story
This book is a call to action based on one simple concept - that personal freedom is a choice. Beth Kempton went from being a life-loving, risk-taking adventurer to a grown-up, settled down mother-wife-business owner before realizing the life she had built was suffocating her. She set out to find her personal freedom and along the way discovered that many others were also feeling hemmed in, suffering from anxiety, depression, and physical pain, exhausted, disconnected, and sad.

Highly motivational
I connected with Hilary virtually through a mutual friend when her Sick Biz Buzz podcast was just getting started. She was a blast to work with on my episode, and when she announced that this book was underway, I knew I had to read it. It is full of actionable tips and insights to get you in the right place mentally to focus on your business regardless of the chronic illness that's keeping you down. I myself have cerebral palsy, which causes chronic pain and premature aging of the joints. I've been an entrepreneur for 12 years, but I'm ready to level up and this book has helped.
