Publisher's Summary

A chance meeting leads to a wild ride in this irresistible audio-first romance by Audie Award-nominated author Molly Harper!

Lia Doe came to Mystic Bayou for one simple reason: to get her job done. Namely, to build a housing complex for all the new residents flocking to town since word of its supernatural population got out. But from the moment Lia arrives, it’s clear that nothing about the job is going to be simple.

First, there’s the mysterious guy she meets in the middle of the night while they’re both cavorting in their alternate forms. Spending time with shape-shifters is nothing new to Lia, but there’s something special about Jon Carmody…and the magical pull she feels whenever he’s near. There’s also a sense of homecoming and belonging in Mystic Bayou that makes her want to stick around - despite the dangers brewing from mysterious forces.

Will Lia complete her project with her heart unscathed, or will her life shift forever?

Another win for Molly Harper

Mystic Bayou is growing into such a tight knit town and I love it! the story is a great addition to the mystic family. I was so pleasantly surprised to see a new release today. If you've enjoyed the other books in the series this is a great addition. if you haven't read any books in the series start with book 1 and be prepared to laugh and enjoy.

More fun on the bayou!

John's story. A continuation of the snark, fun, and murdery antics on The Bayou! We have the normal characters and a couple new wonderful additions.

Another hilarious extension to Mystic Bayou

Molly Harper has done it again with a continuation of the Mystic Bayou story. John Carmody finally gets his chance at love after a surprise meeting with newcomer Lia Doe. Will he get over his shyness enough to get the girl? Will she decide to stay in one place long enough to let him?
Great new story coupled with the beloved characters we already know and love. I am spoiled for narration by Amanda Ronconi and Johnathan Davis as they do such wonderfully diverse accents.
Can't wait for the next one!

Cute series

Cute with a good balance of love and laughter. A very easy listening series that makes me excited for the next book. A little predictable and each book follows the same “girl in danger “ theme but who cares. I loved the characters enough to look past that. Would recommend.

Awww, cute.

Molly Harper has pulled out all the stops for this installment of life in Mystic bayou. This time it is the trun of Jon Carmody to take centre stage and he deserves it. It has been fun getting to know his character slowly int he previous couple of books but now is his change to shine with Lia Doe a deer shifter.

Expect romance, expect crossed wire, expect tension, expect humour.

Mystic Bayou is growing and Lia has come to help build more residences and then move on to the next job but strange goings on, her boss and co-worker acting oddly, her meetings with Jon, her making of some great friends all start to convince her that maybe this is a place to stick around in.

Another charming instalment to the series, a beautiful story and one that is captivatingly narrated.

So much fun

These stories are so much fun. Loved Lia Doe the deer shifter with attitude and Jon Carmody the scarred reclusive mechanic, great characters, great dialogue, wonderful story. The narrators are perfect for these stories, giving the characters a life of their own. This author is rapidly becoming a favourite.

not as good as previous

the plotline was simple but shrouded in mystery.
it was a good story but molly has written better. Zed has always been my fave but he wasn't as strongly utilised in this book as the others. there was also less humour involved.
a lot of introspective dialogue was used which got a tad frustrating but it moved along at a decent pace. some red herrings made the plot interesting and I thought I'd figured it out but nope....
enjoyed it but for me...the best one for mystery is bael and jillian and Cornelia and brendan
and the best humour is book 1 and the tree nymph novella .
will muss Zed as I've reached the end

hope there is more to come

Shifters in the Night was another great instalment in the Mystic Bayou series. I've really enjoyed listening to the 7 audios so far ( 2 instalments are novellas/short listens) - it has been a great series to binge listen to, and now I'm disappointed that I've caught up for now, really hope there is more to come.

Incredibly Sweet

It was lovely to spend some more time in the Bayou. At first I thought I might be over Harper's repeating story structure of woman meets man, falls quickly in love & avoids getting murdered. There is certainly room for innovation, more diversity in the main characters & the last two books were just generally weaker. But the heart and the joy present in this edition is just so beautiful. Listening raises my spirits. I wish we could all be welcomed into a place like Mystic Bayou.

Molly Harper is losing her edge

This just didn't have that 'certain sort of something' that made Mystic Bayou great.
