Oh, and by another cruel twist of fate, my ex-husband just moved back into town. I thought I couldn't take any more, but when a murder rocks my small community, I wind up entangled in the investigation thanks to a handsome stranger.

I love listening to Amanda Ronconi read. Building upon Me Garrett’s well thought out characters and story, the experience is well worth the time to listen. I highly recommend this series and reader!

Dagnabbit. I Need More.

I love Amanda Ronconi narrating anything, but paired with Danielle Garrett, it’s a sure fire treat. I was glad to be able to get a 3 book bundle for one credit. I am sad there are no bundles beyond this one, and each book hereafter costs a credit, which is precious. Even though I have a great need to find out about Lavender, I won’t be using a credit for the next book that is only five hours long.

Good writing, fun story, great narration. I wish the whodunit wasn’t so quickly and easily solved but no matter. I’m really here for the story that is unfolding through the series.

Definitely a cute read. I thought it was going to be too childish for me but honestly, i absolutely love it! I was super into the magic inn series and felt kind of empty and yearning for more when i finished the last book. This popped up on my recommended listens and I realized it was by Danielle Garret and Amanda Ronconi was doing the audio, so i figured it was worth a try. Now I love it and I’m hooked!

Fun and engaging

I really enjoyed the budding friendship between Cora and Celien . I look forward to listening to more from this author.

Absolutely enjoying this series.

The characters are sweet and endearing, the antagonists are well done, and the familiar is quite the snarky cat. IF you like urban fantasy. mystery I recommend this series. It is quick, light hearted, and sweet.

Buy the series - excellent cozy series

I will start with the dislike bc there is only one. The main character is weak and a bit annoying at times. She lacks self confidence, and honestly I don’t know why her love interest sticks around or how she somehow gets the guts to solve all these cases when she’s such a doormat and so whishy-whashy in the rest of her life. However, the rest of the characters and everything else makes up for it - I just wish the author had given the main character more than a “retractable backbone”. Some of the reviews complain and ask why it is taking so many books to tell the story and find Lavender. Well, folks, it is called A SERIES. And sometimes, authors do these things called LONG ARCS through series that take a few books to resolve. And then there are SHORT ARCS that are episodic and can be resolved in one book or episode. This is nothing new. The author does it well. And yes, it is a money grab. It is called MAKING A LIVING and you shouldn’t ding someone for working and paying their bills.
