Great narration, Great story, Overall another great book in this series. The historical context is consistently great!

This serious is entertaining no matter what book you read or listen to

Love the character development and unique personas of everyone in the story. They make the book seem like your are living the narrative and empathize (or hate) individuals accordingly

Good action and plot development. Amazing battle scenes, but that always has been Cornwell’s super power.

Loved the battling but the story line was not as good as the other Sharpe novels. On to the next!

Sharpe triumphs again!

An emotional rollercoaster of a book. Sharpe takes you through every emotion a soldier could endure during such a trying dark time. His inner battle and his battle with his foe going toe to toe makes an intriguing classic!

Another awesome Sharpe story!

We’ve particularly enjoyed the episodes narrated by Rupert Farley. Hopefully we have a few more to go.

The battles

Lots of action. Well written. The personal story of Sharp within the larger historical context of the wars between Britain and France fought all over Spain and Portugal just draws you in.
