Amazing book just about to read the next

It’s a great book and I’m about to read the next but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to finish the entire series there are so many books but I will try.

What other book might you compare Kydd to and why?

I like the O'Brian books and found this has the same quality. It pulls you into a different world and makes you reluctant to turn it off.

Great Summer Read

This is a great summer read for any sofa sea dog. A really well done story if a bit short on good detail.

Great series, minor complaints

Love the series. Recommended highly. However, get the fist book in the series and make sure you can put up with the narrator's voice. Very heavily accented and scratchy. But by half the first book I was hooked.

Fast-paced complete naval adventure

The first naval adventure I've gone through where our hero starts out as seized by a press gang instead of starting out as an officer. What seemed at first might be a slog quickly turned into a fast paced, loaded adventure. So much happens in the first book, I'm wondering what will they do for the next 26 books.
Also, excellent narration.
