Publisher's summary

Fr. Frank Desiderio embarked on a 10-year quest to find out how people forgive. Discover what he learned about how to let go of past resentments and finally heal.

Most people recognize forgiveness as an important value, one for which we should all strive. But even with the best intentions, “just letting it go” can be easier said than done. Now, Humanitas Prize chairman Fr. Frank Desidero answers the central question of how to forgive the past and move into a brighter future.

In these inspiring lectures, you will discover a spirituality of forgiveness that is rooted in human nature and reaches to the divine for inner healing. By practicing Fr. Desiderio’s five steps to letting go, you’ll learn how to move beyond your past and live with peace. Along the way, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of what forgiveness truly means, activate empathy for those who have wronged you, and learn how to take one day at a time. Fr. Desiderio also demonstrates how the Sacrament of Reconciliation can serve as a model to restore an estranged human relationship.

Is your spirit hostage to a hurt? A future free of grudges, guilt, and anger can be yours when you commit to embracing forgiveness. Fr. Desiderio’s wisdom and prayerful guidance will help you achieve freedom in this invaluable series.

Loved it.

As it has become my lifelong mission to practice FORGIVENESS, I have vowed to immerse myself in learning all I can about FORGIVENESS. 5 steps of forgiveness provided me with many new tools and prayers and methods for practicing forgiveness. Being more of a spiritual person than a religious person, I’m still able to grasp the biblical lessons about forgiveness that author uses. This was my first time listening to the audio book. I find myself listening to books several times to get the full impact of what the author is offering to the readers and listeners. This book is no exception and I look forward to many more listen’s until the methods of forgiveness are tattooed on my heart.
