Publisher's summary

With enemies at the gates and trouble at home, a man must defend his clan armed only with his magical martial arts and a futuristic spaceship fortress.

His enemies won't know what hit them.

After finally defeating the Matriarch of the Crimson Dragon clan, Theo's left with a disunited group of tribes swearing loyalty to him in name only. And why should they? He's got no towering fortress. No chests of gold. No loyal army.

Yet.

With nothing but his wits, his new (extremely attractive) friends, and his AI companion, Theo has to bring the Hearthwood forest together to face a looming threat. But the Hearthwood forest is old and filled with secrets. And very few of them are friendly.

Contains mature themes.

Great series

So this series took me by complete surprise! I’ve enjoyed the unique mesh of of LITRPG, Cultivation, and Harem elements. The author found a way to make this story interesting and unique from so many other stories. I can’t wait for the next Audible release for this series.

Not well written

I don't ask for a lot when it comes to books like these. But having a decent sentence structure is one thing I do need. I'll give this series one more shot. But wow, this one was tough.

a half a star better then the first book.

now all in all I'm pretty open minded about the stories I read. there are some that are not good at all and some that are a waste of money.

this one is pretty good though it may be lumped in with so.e others. give it a go and see how things pan out.

So much potential!

The premise behind this series is amazing! The lore and the mystery/journey that is slowly revealed by his best friends in the past. Leaving messages in interesting ways.
I love the cultivation/progression systems! Probably one of my favorites! It is also a western version of an eastern concept. Similar to how Will Wight came up with his own system. So it definitely has potential…
The story is also a lot of fun with us getting more glimpses of the scale of combat that we might get to see in later books.
I really enjoy the MC and the characters around him. I like their growth as well!
Looking forward to the next book!

The narrator gives a relatively good performance. Though the female characters are mixed… I would have preferred a female narrator though…

Why is the narrator a mail?

I have enjoyed the first two books quite a bit, but my big question is why is the narrator male? There’s one male character and a zillion female characters. Seems to me there should’ve been a female narrator. All the female voices sound basically male. Sometimes if I wasn’t thinking about the character themselves I would swear the females were male. It’s just weird.

💯

if you liked the first book, you'll love this one. More fighting, eroticism, and all that good stuff. 10/10 would listen/read again.
