Publisher's summary

He was born anew in a world where martial arts were indistinguishable from magic. He only received a neuronet and meaningless desires from his past life.

What lies ahead?

He dreamed of adventure and freedom, but those dreams were taken away from him. The same way his mother, father, and sister had been taken away.

They took the kingdom, they took his own destiny. But he is willing to wage a war, against the whole world if need be, to bring everything back.

Even if the army opposes him, his sword won't waver. Even if the emperor sends the legions, his step won't falter. Even if demons and gods, heroes and enemies alike are to unite against him, he won't bend to their will. His own will is iron itself, unstoppable.

His name is Hadjar, and he heeds the call of the dragon heart within him.

A Fine installment

A little too much happened for it to be called a filler book. It still kind of felt that way. Mr Klevanski"s worst effort however is better than most"s Magnus opus. very enjoyable.

slower than the others but still fantastic

Really enjoying this series. It continues to have a great story line, with unique support characters and an enjoyable path for the MC. I hope that Kevin Collins stays the narrator of this series as he's done such a great job so far. I do wish the opposition characters had a little more variety in the "I'm mad, let's fight" voices. The "lower your voice and yell" voice that's associated with everyone makes it tough in larger fights. It would nice to hear more variety. That said, I'm certain none of us can really understand how difficult narration is and I hope Collins continues to be the narrator of this and many other series.
** I admit I'm doing a copy/paste on this series. I didn't review them when I listened to them but felt these books deserved a review.

Really wonderful

Wow, a page turner. After book 3, I was really worried about how much I would like this book due to the major changes that happened at the end of 3. However I want loved this book, great story progression, good new characters and wonderful world building. Can't wait for book 5!
