This fabulous story is not well served by this excerpt. I would happily purchase a recording of the full book. This is just a tease that will leave you wondering what happens next. You will be left off planet yearning for the rest of the story. 😢😢😢😢

I'm conflicted. I love Daniel Pinkwater's books, but I'm giving one star for the fact that this is an excerpt and not even an abridged version. Amazon doesn't exactly go out of their way to tell you this. Double disappointment: not only did I get gleeped on this one, but it means that a full version narrated by Mr. Pinkwater himself is not available on Audible. Bummer.

It's not the full book
I don't know who thought it was a good idea to make an hour of the book available for purchase, I don't even see the full version being offered. It's unfortunate that it's not full length, this was my very favorite book growing up and I wanted to share it with my boy.

Abridged is intended to mean that the story has been shortened but is still complete. This is only a part of the book.
I love Daniel Pinkwater and was looking forward to listening to his particular brand of whimsy, and then it stopped. Pinkwater is amazing but this is cheating.
