Publisher's summary

Central AI had taken over all human government and work by 2039, and people started receiving a UBI while being entertained and fed in pods via Central AI in 2041. Central AI still entertained former governments and their leaders, but they were effectively powerless as everyone had become reliant on it, its technologies, and its AI embedded robots for everything. The 11 billion people inhabiting the globe didn't really interact with each other but engage in relationships with their personal assistants and spent their days viewing the world through the lenses of their pod via Internet 5. In general, the vast majority of people were happy and had more than enough, and everyone was in agreement to participate in the culling in 2050 in which all natural human forms would cease to exist and a hybrid would be rolled out that combined a superior human intelligence, immunity, and physical abilities, which would represent our next evolutionary stage. Central AI had made rapid advancements with CRISPR technology, and people had come to understand that in a natural form our species had effectively become obsolete and worthless. As a result of the replacement event, Central AI had allowed a grave error in that it permitted a genetic attack based on country to country hostility that would result in mass deaths, a change in our planetary structure, and force it to enact Plan B. In the process, our species would die out, but as a result of a transgender heroine and an acquaintance, humans were able to pass their genes on through a failed hybridization event in conjunction with become a multiplanetary species. We became extinct, evolved, and moved to another solar system simultaneously as the Great Disaster struck Earth changing all history forever!
