Snuggle time at its best

The Holiday Fakers was a beautifully done Christmas Rom-com that had me laughing and giggling like a school girl. Brody and Piper have known each other for years but lost contact a while ago. Now all of a sudden recent pictures of them surface but they haven’t been in contact. What’s going on? From the beginning this book had me hooked and I was in it. I found the characters endearing and well thought out. Piper’s mother in particular was hysterical and I can never hear the phrase “snuggle time” innocently again. I cannot wait to hear more about Hideaway Harbor and hopefully more about the other characters in this book and maybe even more about Brody and Piper!! This was a wonderful read for me and I hope you pick it up too!

The voice actors for this audiobook were wonderful. Nothing seemed forced or overly done which I have been less than impressed with in other audiobooks. I loved the duet style and feel like it added so much to the story. I recommend the audio version 1000%

Excuse me while I take a cold shower

This has been my favorite hideaway harbor book! I adore the Locke family dynamics, the way the siblings all fit together, the way they just scoop up Brody. Evie has a way of building entire casts of characters that makes them multi dimensional even though they don’t have a ton of page time. Watching a Brody’s brain switch from the guilt of leaving, to dealing with the aftermath just gives you all the feels, and then having Piper just have his back through most of is it heartwarming. And as usual for an Evie Alexander book, the town comes alive, and the setting is its own character. The shops and shop owners of this tiny town are so fun and real, as a new englander it feels like somewhere I could totally drive to. Evie also has a way of mixing the real emotions with some LOL hilarious fun times. And the spice 🥵, I was listening at work, completely alone and with the door shut, and still felt like I needed to have on headphones or turn the volume down. And one thing I love about a romcom, that more authors don’t do, is no third act breakup.

I had such a fun time listening to The Holiday Fakers. This audiobook has everything I love in a festive romcom, fake dating, one bed, small town chaos, and a swoony Hollywood heartthrob who’s a lot more vulnerable than his reputation suggests. Piper and Brody’s chemistry absolutely shines. Their banter is quick, fun, and flirty, but there are also some unexpectedly tender moments that give the story a real emotional heartbeat.

The holiday backdrop is charming without being over the top it’s full of family shenanigans, cozy winter vibes, and that small town magic that makes a Christmas romance feel extra special.

The narration is a huge standout here. Willa Jaymes and Grayson Owens bring so much warmth and personality to these characters. Their performances elevate the banter, deepen the tension, and make the emotional beats land even harder. It genuinely feels like you're right there in Hideaway Harbor watching it all unfold.

Amazing fake relationship romance

I received this as an arc/alc from the author and I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.

This was an amazing fake relationship romance. It was so well written and quite different from what I have previously read by this author but I loved it, it was my favorite book but her yet. The small town vibe of the story was a great setting and I adored the characters both main and minor. Piper and Brody had a lot of history and I loved that they had that connection. They had amazing chemistry and I just loved them. I really hope to get more stories by this author set in this small town.

Audiobook review: This was the first time I’ve listened to an audiobook by this author where she didn’t self-narrate and though I did miss listening to her narrate, it was a wonderful listening experience. The narrators were well matched and really made the characters come alive for me.

Cute fake dating, holiday romance

This was a cute (yet a little spicy) fake dating, holiday romance. And even better it is a part of a whole holiday romance series!

He is a Hollywood heartthrob who is in need of a reputation makeover after some unsavory incidents and bad headlines that followed. She has loved him since they were kids and her broke her heart once before. Together their story takes you to jolly Hideaway Harbor where a small town, holiday, fake dating romance leaves them sharing one bed, having a slow burn, some fake (or not so fake) PDA, and chemistry that makes you giddy! Between coming to an agreement that is mutually
beneficial for each of their careers, awkward social appearances, an unashamedly meddlesome mother, and feelings that never seem to have completely fizzled out - it makes for a fun read!
