What made the experience of listening to The Enslaved Trilogy Complete Set the most enjoyable?
The book itself is very enjoyable although the ending came too fast.
Something is wrong with the audio but if you ignore it, you can get past it and enjoy the plot.

What did you love best about The Enslaved Trilogy Complete Set?
That all 3 stories were in one volume set instead of buying them separately, of course :-)
Who was your favorite character and why?
I really fell for Roman's dark nature, but also got a kick out of Mistress Lauren. I like that she was not a skinny minny and had meat on her bones! And that she was a Dom :-)
Have you listened to any of Christine Padovan’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
She is normally a fine narrator, but somehow in the first story, 'Enslaved', she really held on too often to the ending of words in sentences. And the audio production made it seem like there was an 'echo' at the end of a word, making it seem like she held it too long.
Ms. Padovan must have gotten better direction for 'Enamored' and 'Enraptured' because her narration was much smoother and not so broken up - and audio productions were better. I would have given 5 stars for the narration, if it weren't for some of the odd breaks in the first story.
Otherwise, good acting ability and voice choices for all the characters :-) And the sex scenes...ooo, la, la!
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Spank Me and Make Me Yours ;-)
Any additional comments?
My boyfriend and I had to pause the recording often to go and...you know ;-) ... so definitely worth a credit or a buy! It was worth it just to listen to the shibari scene with Roman in Japan (in 'Enamored').

If you're looking to get your panties (or briefs, whoever you are :)) wet, then Shoshanna's writing is for you. I'd say the audio version of her Enslaved stories is between a 3 and 4 star rating. Her writing doesn't seem to translate well to audio, or the direction given the narrator doesn't work for most of us (especially in the first story - it gets way better in 2 and 3).
I enjoy the humor Shoshanna puts in her stories (a bdsm club named 'Whippersnapper' is a hoot) and there are some fun characters, but would have liked less repeated, duplicate phrases between the stories and more original writing in each.
But overall, an enjoyable experience - and everyone finds and gets what they desire.

I saw that all three stories were now available as a set, and finally have listened to books 2 and 3 in this trilogy.
Overall, it's very entertaining but again - in a superficial way. There are some fun characters - just don't look for too much depth in anyone's backgrounds. As a reviewer commented, the dialogue does remind me of a Hallmark Movie, albeit with a bdsm slant (and if Hallmark ever wanted to make a more erotic romance movie, these stories would make great screenplays :-))
But the sex scenes are definitely HOT though and it's my main 'why' for getting these audiobooks.

The stories were good, but I did not like the narrators voice. Very monotoned! If you can get past that, the stories are good!

I was saving up to get 'Enamored' and 'Enraptured' which are sold separately, but so thrilled that all three stories are available as one audiobook!
If you like off the chart sex scenes, fun secondary characters that interact with the conflicted main ones and 'they lived happily ever after' endings, then this author's stories are definitely for you.
Makes me wish I had my own BAD boy! :-)

The narration was atrocious, the emphasis on the last part of words was almost unbearable. Overall good story line but the narration left much to be desired.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Enslaved Trilogy Complete Set to be better than the print version?
Haven't seen the printed version, but in my opinion I could have read this better. Narration was to slow in the reading, trying to be more sexy then needing to be. Putting more emotion into each word, drawing out the words. Plus you can't listen to BDSM book without the manly voice, I just hear the women's voice...
Would you be willing to try another one of Christine Padovan’s performances?
NO

I do NOT know how this narrator ever past performance review! She is AWFUL! She ends EVERY sentence like a question! the story was a good story but I could not enjoy it because of the narrator!

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
No....this was on my IPOD for months...I couldn't get past how the narrator dragged out the last word of every sentence.....eventually I turned that part of my brain off and listened to the story.....it was a mistake. I managed to get 2/3's of the way through the story....and gave up. The narration is a constant irritant and the main characters are completely unlikeable. The "bad boys" are selfish, self-possessed and arrogant. Everyone around them is expected to sacrifice for them while they give nothing back....sick.
What could Shoshanna Evers have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
...made it 33% shorter?
What didn’t you like about Christine Padovan’s performance?
Whyyyyy does sheeee drag out the end of herrrr words? This will teach me to listen to the audible samples before buying a book from a narrator I haven't heard before.
If this book wasn’t for you, who do you think might enjoy it more?
The books not bad, but the narrator could do with some livening up, so boring to listen to I fell asleep
What was most disappointing about Shoshanna Evers’s story?
I liked the books
How could the performance have been better?
Get another narrator
What character would you cut from The Enslaved Trilogy Complete Set?
None
