Publisher's summary

Ever since Adrianna's heart was broken, she's contented herself with throwing all of her energy into building a career in hotel management, while spending free time reading from her vast library or going out with her girlfriends. But something is missing, and when her best friend suggests sex as the answer, it strikes a chord. But never did she intend to fulfill her desire with her boss, John Merritt. What starts as a fling boils over into something much hotter, and when emotions become a problem, Adrianna's not sure she wants to take things to the next level. Now in an uncertain relationship with her boss, Adrianna fears at the future she never had in mind for herself. Her friends see the positive change, and so does her mother, but Adrianna isn't sure she's ready to settle down and trust a man again, despite how excited John is to start a life with her. But his loyalty is tested when a work crisis causes him to turn on her and Adrianna wonders if there is there any hope of a reconciliation, or is she going to spend her life as alone as she'd once convinced herself she should?

Great interracial relationship

What made the experience of listening to The Boss's Baby the most enjoyable?

Adrianna was a very believable character, she wanted a relationship HER way, only life decided to intervene. John melts my heart, I fell in love with him then wanted to hit him with a big fat book when he was stupid.

What other book might you compare The Boss's Baby to and why?

All Christina Grenier's book are fantastic, and well worth a read.

What about Ravyn Knight’s performance did you like?

I liked that Ravyn didn't put on a fake voice when being John, but that you could tell by the tone when she was speaking as him

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Wanted to hit John over the head with a big fat book for being an idiot, as if Adrianna would stoop so low as to try sleeping her way to the top!!!

Any additional comments?

Brilliant book worth a read and a listen!!

Descent story line

This was a descent story. It could have had more descriptions of the characters to give the listener a better feel for them. I didn't care for the monotone reading.. Still a descent listen overall.

Loved it!

I am sucker for IR romances and this one definitely delivers. Loved how the character's progressed into their relationship. But I didn't like when John seemed to flake out on Adrianna in her time of need. I was happy for both when things worked out in the end. Overall, a wonderful and awesome story!!

Unrealistic

Just an unrealistic story in my opinion. Way too goody-goody and boring. The narration was bad too. It’s a pet peeve hearing the “h” in who, what, where and why etc. and no way is that a NY accent! 🤦🏽‍♀️

Narrator Needs Work

The story is well written, but it's hard to get into the book because the narrator is a little flat and the voice just doesn't fit well with the characters. I wish I would have just read the e book instead so I wouldn't have been disappointed.

Real Talk

This story is so real when you are so scared to show the person you love them and you have to be careful who you fall in love with.

Wrong narrator for the main character

Her voice did not match any of the characters. Her voice made the story unbelievable .

okay

I really struggled to finish listening to this book. there was no good story line, with the exception of one. all the characters sound the same. Very poor narrator did not or could not bring life to the book. If could would have been an alright book to listen to.

When in peace prepare for war

The story is about 2 ambitious people in the corporate business of hotel management. They've worked well together for years, climbing through the ranks of success, then suddenly they became interested in one another. I should say the fell in lust, with a few undercover stipulations, on the hush hush, and Murphy's Law is just at the bend in the road of life.

The reason why I gave 4 stars, is because the story didn't feel like a stand alone, it was more like a beginning of a serial. I reccomend the work of this author and the narrator. This was the my 1st time being entertained by this author and the narrator, they did a good job. The narrator bought life to each character, both are worth following.
