What is it about heroes like Superman, Iron Man, or Thor that revs our engines like no other? Is it the suit? The manly physique? Or the courage they display, wading in where others fear to go, to save the damsel, the city, and even the Earth? Are there real-life heroes who inspire the same lustful fascination? How about those kickass iconic heroes who enter danger zones in the name of duty and honor - or maybe love - conjuring images of hard, chiseled bodies, deadly glares, and camouflaged features?
Imagine the Navy SEAL sent on a suicide mission, the damaged Army Ranger home from war, the Para rescue team member jumping into frigid waters, a SWAT team member entering a human trafficker's den…military members based in far-flung places around the world or the smoke-jumper living next door. Now, imagine the romantic possibilities of being held against that massively muscled chest by a man whose mission is to protect and serve…
Would you try another book from Delilah Devlin and/or Chandra Skyye?
Yes, I like Delilah Devlin books she writes. She did not write these stories. She just got a group of unknown writers and put them in one listen. Chandra Skyye is just Ok, not my fave. It would depend on the story she reads if I would purchase.
Would you be willing to try another book from Delilah Devlin? Why or why not?
yes, which was why I purchased this one.
What aspect of Chandra Skyye’s performance would you have changed?
deeper males voice and need to pick up the pace just a bit. she sounded like she was bored with the assignment.
Do you think High Octane Heroes needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
No as these were all 1/2 hr. stories...that were really an outline of a book by each author.
