Publisher's Summary

"The erotic, gripping series that has defined an entire genre." (J. R. Ward) continues as #1 New York Times best-selling author Christine Feehan links the fates of two strangers bound by a secret in the shadows of the Carpathian Mountains....

Tatijana of the Dragonseekers spent centuries encased in ice with her sister, trapped in limbo between life and death, never speaking to a soul other than those who tormented her. Now, she has been freed from her frozen prison by an unknown descendent. Awakened in human form, Tatijana yearns to explore the modern world in which she now lives - a world with more mysteries than she is prepared for.

Fenris Dalka has returned to the Carpathian Mountains after a long absence to be with his brother. He is scarred by centuries of battle, and every hard-won victory. But the real reason for his return home could prove deadly if discovered by the wrong man - or woman. Upon his arrival, he is compelled by a beautiful and enigmatic stranger who carries the scent of fresh earth, of forest, of the night itself.

In time Tatijana and Fenris will discover all that unites them - their secrets and pasts, their predators, and the hot flush of passion that stirs their souls. Yet just as surely, seduced into the silvery darkness of a full-moon night, they’ll also discover everything ancient and evil that exists to destroy them.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN NARRATOR

I only made it 20%through the narration before I turned it off and read the story alone. This narrator can't pronounce the main female characters name correctly, he sounds as if he is bored. He reads too fast at times and to slow at others. There is no excitement in the battle scenes and no emotion between the characters. What a shame that a wonderful story is ruined by a horrible narrator. I hope that the next Dark series book they bring back Phil Gigante who is wonderful to listen to and knows how to emote a story.
I can't stress enough what a disservice was done to the story by the narrator. This guy is the worst I have ever listened to, and that is saying something when I have listened to over 200 audio books. If I could I would only give the narrator 1/2 of a star simply for reading it.

great story but narrator no good

Would you consider the audio edition of Dark Lycan to be better than the print version?

No

How could the performance have been better?

If a better narrator was used. I recommend narrators from Dark Slayer or Dark Peril. They express the accents better and make u feel more engrossed in the story. I'm hoping better narrator is used for the next two books in this trilogy.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes but didn't. Just read the book instead. Narrator very disappointing.

Any additional comments?

Please use a better narrator for the next two books in the trilogy of this series. Like in Dark Slayer or Dark Peril.

Amazing how a narrator can DESTROY a book.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Not the audio book version. I will be reading the eBook. This author is usually amazing. It's disappointing!!!

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

I need to but the hard copy. I couldn't make it through the audio version.

What didn’t you like about Robert Sarkus’s performance?

Everything. This is the first time I have heard this narrator. Maybe he's better with other books but not this one. I LOVE Christine Feehan books I own everything she has written in eBook and audio. This audio book was a big waste of money.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

Tom Stechschulte!!!! The man knows these books and is a great pleasure to listen to.

“I WANT TO CRY……THE NARRATION IS HORRIBLE”

If you could sum up Dark Lycan in three words, what would they be?

Really good story.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Dark Lycan?

Loved the battle scenes.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

He is just reading the story, not performing. You don't know which character is which, they all sound the same.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The book is exciting, the narration made me want to cry.

Any additional comments?

Please bring back Phil Gigante and Jane brown for the female narration.

Not what it could have been...

Would you try another book from Christine Feehan and/or Robert Sarkus?

Christine Feehan... yes. I usually get her Dark books. Robert Sarkus... uh... probably not.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

haven't gotten there yet.

How could the performance have been better?

name pronunciation needs immediate and intensive help. narration was flat. the whole thing needs a complete reboot.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

all three? Anger that the producer let the names get so slaughtered. Sadness that Ms. Feehan hasn't curbed her tendencies to repeat things... still... and disappointment in the first two emotions because the story is incredible, imaginative. just needs better narration and an story editor willing to force the author to cut the repetition.

Better to read than listen to

The narration spoiled it for me. The characters sounded like a race of robots. I intend to read the book at a later date.

It's pronounced "Tatiyana" you idiot.

If you could sum up Dark Lycan in three words, what would they be?

"Tatiyana" not "Tatijohna"!

Would you be willing to try another one of Robert Sarkus’s performances?

No. The headline above is what I kept saying throughout the book. It was extremely annoying. Plus he had them all speaking like Americans except for Jacques, who he gave a French accent, even though the book clearly states that Jacques is Mikhail's brother. Even without those blunders, his reading was just okay. Oh, and he made the unemotional Carpathians sound emotional. Murr. Please, please, please, have a different narrator for the next books, please!

where is phil gigante??????????????

Is there anything you would change about this book?

the narration is very much a letdown, especially after the last few books

What other book might you compare Dark Lycan to and why?

.I am actually not done, but i am excited about the story line. itself.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

i feel read to, i am not living it as with Gigantes narration.

Did Dark Lycan inspire you to do anything?

Hugh Fan of this Author But!!

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

No, I did not like the narrator. The story sounded mono tone for the most part to me.

What other book might you compare Dark Lycan to and why?

I have all of the Dark Series by this Author and the best ones are those read by both male and female readers. The best are those by Phil Gigante and Natalie Ross. The characters came alive!!!!!

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Robert Sarkus?

Phil Gigante and Natalie Ross

Did Dark Lycan inspire you to do anything?

Yes, the audio inspire me not, to want to purchase the book or listen this one ever again!!!!!!

Any additional comments?

Why, break up a great combination with both male and female narrators!!!!!!!! An audio book is suppose to bring the book to life. Not put the listeners to sleep!!!!!

Love All Dark Series Books

I have this entire series on audio, this is the first time I have considered purchasing the book. I am so disappointed!! The narrator was bad, there are 2 or 3 names he pronounces differently/wrong than all other books that these characters are in. Research! Research! Research!

The main characters name sounds like TATAJOHNYA vs. Tatijana. Robert Sarkus was not all bad but after listening to the previous 23 books it is a HUGE difference, please bring back Phil Gigante!!!

I waited and waited for this book and as soon as I heard him say the main characters name I knew it was going to be a hard listen. I love this book and look forward to reading it again... on my tablet.
