Jesse Stone solves again!

Jesse Stone is a hero. He’s not perfect, has faults he can’t overcome , but he’s also dedicated to doing his part to make things right. A formidable, honest character. This author has kept him real, given him a difficult task and turned him loose to fix things. A wonderful read! Narrator is excellent. Characters well described and story line exciting. You just know there will be bumps along the way and Jesse will weather the storm. I recommend this book to all Jesse Stone fans. Coleman does a great Parker!

Keeps action moving and is of course well done and one wonders what the follow up will be

Book had many plot avenues that tie into the conclusion.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Female characters voices took away and made it difficult. Spoiled on other narrators who have mastered voices or had dual male/female narrators.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

This is the first of Robert Parker novels. I enjoyed the Jess Stone character and would listen to the next in the series (hope with different narrator to distinguish male/female voices).

Time to let Jesse Stone go

Would you be willing to try another book from Reed Farrel Coleman and Robert B. Parker (Created by) ? Why or why not?

Robert Parker versions were what got me hooked. I've never listened to hos Spencer series and unsure I ever will.

Any additional comments?

I really love the Jesse Stone and support characters. Try as they may, it doesn't seem another author can bring the same feel to the books as RB Parker. Losing the latest love of his life Jesse met a few days ago is unrealistic and been overused. For me, the series is over and was nice while it lasted.

Not Parker's Jesse Stone

The couple of post-Parker titles, by Michael Brandman, were worthy sequels. Not this. Reed Farrell Coleman iis writing about some police chief somewhere, but not the character Parker created.
I was looking forward to working through the rest of the books, but not now. I may try a chapter or two of the next title, but I'm not optimistic. Probably time to move on.

I was pleasantly surprised. There is a lot of story to follow but Mr Coleman does a good job with this story.

I likes this story and I plan to read other stories by Parker, Coleman and those narrated by Naughton.

Couldn't stop listening!

James Naughton does an excellent read of this Jesse Stone novel. So glad that Reed Farrel Coleman is keeping the Robert B Parker stories going and doing such a great job that I don't even notice they aren't by the master of mystery himself.
